ARK Diagnostics is seeking a motivated, results-oriented Regional Account Executive to drive sales growth across the Midwestern United States.

This is a field-based sales role focused on developing new business, growing existing accounts, managing customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. The Regional Account Executive will own the sales process from prospecting and qualification through product evaluation, quoting, negotiation, and close.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys being in the field, building relationships, understanding customer needs, and turning opportunities into results.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute territory strategies to achieve annual sales quotas and revenue growth.
  • Prospect, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including customer discovery, product presentations, evaluations, proposals, negotiations, and closing.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and introduce customers to additional ARK products.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts.

Customer & Territory Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and key stakeholders.
  • Understand customer needs, workflows, and purchasing processes to effectively position ARK solutions.
  • Conduct face-to-face and virtual customer meetings, product demonstrations, evaluations, and training.
  • Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, and activity information in the CRM.
  • Monitor market and competitive activity and provide actionable feedback to the commercial team.

Field Activities

  • Represent ARK at customer meetings, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Support product launches, customer evaluations, and trial opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a strong customer experience and successful conversion of opportunities.
  • Travel approximately 30–40% throughout the assigned territory.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in sales, business development, account management, or a related commercial role.
  • Experience in IVD, diagnostics, biotechnology, life sciences, laboratory products, or a related industry is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of consultative selling and relationship management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and virtual communication platforms.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly motivated, execution-focused, and results-oriented.
  • Must reside in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, or Illinois.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30–40% of the time.

Travel: Approximately 30–40%

Compensation*: $90,000–$125,000 + commission + KPI bonus potential

*Compensation will depend, in part, on the successful candidate’s credentials for the role, including education, qualifications, and the type and length of relevant experience. Base salary may also vary depending on the candidate’s home location.
