Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Regional Business Manager (Construction Sales) based in United States. This is a high-impact, quota-carrying sales leadership role focused on growing business across the construction and vocational truck market. You will own a regional territory, develop strategic customer relationships, and drive profitable growth through a consultative, value-focused approach. The role centers on large fleets, contractors, and complex commercial accounts where deep customer understanding and industry expertise are essential. You will combine direct sales execution, market intelligence, data analysis, and relationship management to expand market share and win new business. The position offers significant autonomy, requiring an entrepreneurial mindset, strong ownership, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment. You will collaborate with sales, engineering, product, and other cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into effective solutions. This fully remote opportunity covers multiple state territories and requires extensive travel, with candidates based near a commercial airport.
Develop and manage strategic relationships with major construction-sector accounts, particularly large fleet customers with complex operational requirements, serving as a trusted regional point of contact. Build and execute territory-specific sales strategies designed to increase revenue, market share, and profitable growth among construction fleets, contractors, and other target customers. Prospect for new accounts and business opportunities, using market data, customer insights, and industry knowledge to identify high-potential segments and prospects. Own the full sales process from customer discovery and needs assessment through solution development, presentation, negotiation, and closing, consistently working toward or exceeding assigned sales targets. Engage directly with end users, fleet managers, and other decision-makers to understand their operational models and recommend solutions aligned with their vocational truck applications. Develop compelling customer presentations and sales approaches, supporting broader sales efforts with strong market knowledge and a clear understanding of customer value drivers. Monitor construction, vocational truck, and competitive market trends to identify opportunities, anticipate customer needs, and provide differentiated solutions. Partner with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to communicate customer feedback, influence product development, and ensure solutions are aligned with real-world fleet requirements. Maintain disciplined territory planning, account activity, customer follow-up, and CRM usage while managing a demanding travel and sales schedule. Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, strengthen customer engagement, and improve commercial outcomes. Requirements: At least 8 years of outside sales experience within the heavy truck, construction, vocational vehicle, or closely related industries. Proven success selling premium, high-value construction products or services, with direct Heavy Truck OEM or dealer territory sales experience strongly preferred. Deep knowledge of trucks and vocational applications, with the ability to understand customer operations and recommend solutions that address their specific business needs. Strong business development and relationship-building capabilities, with experience engaging diverse stakeholders and developing trusted relationships with large commercial accounts. Demonstrated ability to operate as a self-starter with an entrepreneurial, proactive, results-oriented, and customer-focused mindset. Strong analytical and investigative skills, including the ability to research customer businesses, assess market data, identify opportunities, and use insights to guide sales decisions. Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to different audiences. Strong organization and time-management skills, including the ability to independently plan calls, manage a territory, prioritize opportunities, and coordinate extensive travel. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and CRM platforms. Ability to learn quickly, solve problems independently, work with minimal supervision, and remain effective in an agile and sometimes unstructured environment. Strong work ethic, competitive drive, sense of urgency, integrity, humility, and commitment to achieving measurable results. Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively with customers, sales colleagues, engineering, product teams, and other internal stakeholders. A global perspective and experience working with sophisticated organizations are advantageous. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Ability to travel extensively and live within a reasonable distance of a commercial airport. Candidates should be able to cover territories in California, Florida, Texas, or the Mid-West. Benefits: Competitive compensation aligned with skills, experience, impact, and performance-based growth. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance. Life and AD&D insurance, along with short-term and long-term disability coverage. 401(k) plan with company matching to support long-term financial planning. Paid time off and company holidays to support rest and work-life balance. Fully remote work across a multi-state territory. High level of ownership and autonomy within a quota-carrying regional leadership role. Opportunity to influence growth, customer relationships, market share, and product direction within the construction and vocational truck sector. Extensive exposure to major fleet customers, contractors, industry trends, product development, and cross-functional commercial initiatives.
