Regional Growth Senior Manager - Marketing

Our newly created Regional Marketing team turns Deliveroo's brand and commercial strategy into local reality. With a deep understanding of local consumers, restaurants, and riders, we translate national marketing frameworks into activations that actually move the needle on the ground. We’re looking for a Regional Activation Manager to join our Milan team. This is a hybrid role. In this role, you’ll help us drive localized marketing strategies, unlocking hyper-local growth and boosting brand awareness across key Italian regions. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING You’ll be joining the Marketing team, reporting into the Italy Marketing Head. As part of this team, you will be in charge of designing local marketing strategies, as well as leading the execution by coordinating a cross functional team. Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

• Drive hyper-local market growth: Design the strategy, execute, and optimize regional plans across Italy, translating and adapting national marketing frameworks to high-impact local campaigns to drive local growth
• Optimize localized marketing and field execution: Own and deploy the regional budget across different channels
• Lead regional co-marketing initiatives: Partner closely with high-profile local restaurant accounts and commercial stakeholders to co-create high-visibility activation campaigns that boost mutual growth
• Analyze local performance metrics: Monitor regional KPIs, market trends, and competitive movements closely, using data to continuously iterate activation tactics and maximize ROI
• Cross-functional alignment: Act as the strategic bridge between the central marketing engine and local field teams to ensure flawless, synchronized strategies and execution of all activation playbooks. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO THRIVE Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
• Significant experience in consultancy or trade marketing (marketing background not strictly required): Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional projects with measurable business impact, ideally within fast-paced industries (FMCG, e-commerce, or tech preferred). Has ideally led local marketing campaign end-to-end, from strategy definition to execution
• Data-driven and strategic mindset, with business acumen: Strong analytical capabilities to design strategies, evaluate campaign effectiveness and efficiency, optimize regional budgets
• Deep understanding of the Italian consumer landscape: Exceptional knowledge of regional nuances, local media opportunities, and cultural levers across key Italian territories
• Proven ability to manage commercial stakeholders: Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, with a knack for influencing external partners and aligning internal cross-functional teams.
• Fluency in both English and Italian: Full professional proficiency in both languages is essential for daily collaboration across local and global structures. WHY JOIN US? COMPENSATION National Collective Agreement (CBA): CCNL Commercio e Terziario Classification Level: Quadro The salary range for this role is €66,000 – €83,000 gross per year. The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed above and is determined based on a number of job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. This position would be eligible for consideration for an equity award grant of restricted stock units on commencement and during the annual pay review cycle. Upon commencement of employment, you would be eligible to be considered for a grant. Thereafter, any further grants would be at the Company's discretion.
