Provide ongoing oversight and follow-up across all aspects of property management to ensure portfolio performance and compliance. Travel regularly, often daily and occasionally for multiple days, to assigned communities and other locations as needed. Requirements: 5+ years of experience managing affordable multi-family housing, specifically LIHTC and Project-Based Section 8 properties. 2+ years of multi-site portfolio management experience, with responsibility for 5 or more communities strongly preferred. Broad knowledge of property management operations, including accounting, inspections, collections, evictions, marketing, resident relations, and compliance. Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, LIHTC requirements, and applicable local and state regulations. College degree preferred but not required. CPM, HCCP, COS, or equivalent affordable housing/property management certification strongly preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple properties, priorities, and deadlines. Strong leadership, supervisory, coaching, and performance-management capabilities. Excellent customer service and communication skills when working with residents, clients, employees, government agencies, and other stakeholders. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment. Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends when required. Strong resident relations and conflict-resolution skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction. Strong experience with Yardi and excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required to provide effective coverage and oversight across the assigned portfolio. Willingness to travel approximately 80% or more of the time to assigned properties throughout the DC/MD/VA region.
