Our partner is looking for a Regional Sales Director, Commercial, Acquisition based in United States. This is a senior sales leadership opportunity focused on accelerating commercial acquisition and revenue growth across an assigned U.S. territory. You will lead, mentor, and develop a team of Commercial Account Executives while setting the strategy, pace, and standards for regional performance. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on involvement in complex sales cycles, executive relationships, pipeline development, and major deal execution. You will help your team take a consultative approach to understanding customer needs and demonstrating the value of sophisticated cloud and technical solutions. Success requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to navigate fast-moving, evolving markets. You will work closely with Marketing, Solution Engineering, R&D, Customer Support, and other teams to create a coordinated go-to-market strategy. With a fully remote environment, high levels of autonomy, and a strong focus on innovation and collaboration, this role offers significant influence and growth potential.
Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Commercial Account Executives. Establish regional sales territories, quotas, goals, and activity standards aligned with broader organizational objectives. Develop and execute annual sales plans designed to achieve and exceed revenue targets. Build a strong, sustainable pipeline and identify opportunities to accelerate commercial acquisition. Guide sales representatives through complex sales cycles, providing strategic support to advance opportunities and close deals. Meet directly with prospects and key stakeholders to help shape sales strategies and articulate the value of solutions. Develop long-term strategic relationships with key contacts and executive stakeholders across the customer base. Support the team in preparing for Quarterly Business Reviews and other business reviews. Help sales teams navigate sophisticated, multi-month sales processes and strategically position high-value opportunities. Partner closely with Marketing, Solution Engineers, R&D, Customer Support, and other functional teams to strengthen go-to-market execution. Attract, retain, and develop sales talent while establishing a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Requirements: At least 3 years of experience leading successful sales teams. At least 8 years of successful direct sales experience. Proven ability to navigate complex sales cycles typically lasting 2–6 months. Consistent track record of shaping and closing strategic seven-figure deals. Strong experience working with C-level executives and building trusted senior relationships. Expertise with MEDDPICC or a comparable structured enterprise sales methodology. Experience using ROI analysis and cost modeling to educate prospective buyers and support purchasing decisions. Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills across both in-person and virtual settings. Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management abilities. Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to balance strategic leadership and hands-on sales support. High standards of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and business judgment. A background in technical applications or cloud-based tooling is a plus. Familiarity with open-source software is highly desirable. Benefits: On-target earnings/base compensation range of $310,000–$360,000 in the United States, depending on level, experience, and skillset.
