Overview of the Role The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading the sales strategy and driving profitable revenue growth for special vehicle modifications across the GCC and Africa. This role focuses on expanding market presence, securing large-scale tender and fleet projects, and acting as the key commercial interface between customers and internal teams. The position requires strong technical expertise in vehicle conversions and the ability to manage complex relationships with OEMs, partners, and government stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets across GCC and African markets
- Identify and secure new business opportunities, particularly in government, defense, emergency, and corporate fleet sectors
- Lead the full tender lifecycle, including technical evaluation, pricing, risk assessment, and contract negotiation
- Translate customer requirements into technical specifications and collaborate with engineering teams on solutions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across government, defense, and corporate sectors
- Manage commercial aspects including pricing strategies, cost analysis, and profitability of projects
- Monitor sales performance, pipeline health, and KPIs using CRM tools and reporting systems
- Coordinate with OEM partners for chassis supply, technical alignment, and export approvals
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, production, logistics, finance, after-sales) to ensure successful project delivery
- Oversee logistics, export documentation, and delivery processes including inspections and handovers
- Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement
Background and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; technical background preferred
- Minimum 15 years of experience in automotive sales, vehicle modification, or specialist vehicle manufacturing
- Proven experience managing sales and business development across GCC and/or African markets
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicle conversions, including chassis preparation, body mounting, and systems integration
- Experience with emergency, defense, industrial, or specialized vehicle categories (e.g., ambulances, fire trucks, mobile units)
- Demonstrated success in managing and winning large-scale government tenders
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in pricing strategy, budgeting, and cost analysis
- Familiarity with OEM platforms such as Ford, Stellantis, Mercedes-Benz, IVECO, or Toyota
- Knowledge of regulatory standards, homologation, and compliance requirements
- Fluency in English and Arabic
