A. JOB IDENTIFICATION

Job Title : Relationship Manager, Energy (Oil, Gas & Power)

Unit : Corporate Banking

Group : Wholesale Banking

B. ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Directly Reports to : Head, Energy (Oil, Gas & Power)


C. JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of Energy sector clients by delivering tailored banking solutions across Oil, Gas, and Power while ensuring strong risk management, customer service excellence, and profitability.

D. SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

  1. Regular/Routine

  2. Client Relationship Management

  • Manage assigned Energy sector clients and deepen existing relationships.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling banking products including loans, trade, cash management, and treasury solutions.
  • Maintain regular client engagement and provide responsive service.
  1. Business Development
  • Originate new business within the Energy sector.
  • Prepare and present proposals, pitches, and account plans.
  • Support deal origination and execution efforts led by the Head, Energy.
  1. Credit & Risk Management
  • Prepare credit applications, reviews, and proposals for Energy clients.
  • Monitor portfolio quality and ensure timely renewals and reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with credit policies and regulatory requirements.
  1. Transaction Execution & Portfolio Monitoring
  • Coordinate transaction processing with Integrated Middle Office
  • Monitor account performance, limits, and covenants.
  • Support remedial actions for early warning signals
  1. Periodic Responsibilities

· Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Head, Energy

Requirements

G. SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum Education: A good first degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business, or related discipline. A relevant master’s degree or professional certification in ACIB, ACCA, ICA & CFA will be an added advantage.

Minimum Experience: Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in Corporate Banking or Energy Banking

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Strong knowledge of Oil & Gas and Power operations

· Relationship management and sales skills.

· Credit analysis and structuring.

· Strong communication and negotiation skills.

· Attention to detail and execution discipline
