The Third Early Career Workshop organized by the PhysCOS Program and its associated Program Analysis Group (PhysPAG) Executive Committee, takes place on 22-24 September 2026 from 1p-4p Eastern (10a-1p Pacific) and it will be fully remote. The Workshop agenda and connection instructions can be found on the Workshop webpage.
This workshop aims to provide insights to early-career scientists about the fascinating work being done in the Physics of the Cosmos Program, explain and demonstrate the tools and opportunities available to them, and answer any questions they may have.
The workshop will include a welcome message from APD director Shawn Domagal-Goldman, a post-launch presentation on the Roman Space Telescope, a tutorial on the NASA Astrophysics Data System (ADS) Science Explorer (SciX), talks on upcoming missions including the Compton Spectrometer and Imager (COSI) and the Ultraviolet Explorer (UVEX), updates on NASA programs for students and postdocs, a CV writing mini-workshop, presentations by your fellow early career researchers on exciting science and technology development projects, and much more!
Day 1 will include a demonstration of the ADS Science Explorer; if you have never used ADS or SciX, check out their online tutorials!
