This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Renewals Specialist based in United States. This role is at the center of customer retention and expansion, owning the renewal process from initial outreach through negotiation and close. Working closely with Customer Success Managers, you will develop pricing strategies, prepare proposals and quotes, manage Sales Orders, and complete RFPs. You will help customers understand the value delivered through their learning programs while proactively identifying renewal risks and expansion opportunities. The role combines commercial judgment, relationship management, negotiation, and operational discipline in a fast-paced, remote-first environment. As you gain experience, you will take increasing ownership of SMB, mid-market, and eventually enterprise renewals. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Customer Success to remove roadblocks and create a seamless renewal experience. Success in this position means improving retention, supporting account growth, maintaining an accurate pipeline, and making the renewal process more efficient and customer-centered.
Own the end-to-end renewal and upsell lifecycle, from customer outreach and pricing strategy through proposal development, negotiation, and close. Partner closely with Customer Success Managers to understand customer objectives, demonstrate delivered value, and drive timely contract renewals. Develop pricing proposals, generate quotes and Sales Orders, close opportunities, and manage renewal-related documentation. Lead negotiations with Procurement, Vendor Management, and other customer stakeholders, addressing concerns and resolving roadblocks. Manage renewals across SMB, mid-market, and enterprise customer segments, progressively taking full ownership of enterprise renewals. Review customer usage metrics and translate them into clear value propositions that reinforce renewal decisions. Identify renewal risks early, develop retention strategies, and uncover opportunities for upselling and account expansion. Complete RFPs in partnership with Customer Success Managers and ensure responses are accurate, timely, and aligned with customer needs. Maintain a healthy renewals pipeline and provide accurate, continuous forecasting of upcoming opportunities. Maintain accurate daily records of activities, opportunities, customer interactions, and forecasts in Salesforce. Build effective working relationships with Customer Success, Sales, Finance, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to support seamless renewal and contracting processes. Contribute to improving renewal systems, processes, and operating practices to make the organization more efficient, scalable, and customer-focused. Requirements Proven professional experience in Procurement, Vendor Management, Account Management, Sales, Customer Success, or a related commercial function. Demonstrated experience personally managing customer renewals and contract negotiations. Strong negotiation skills, with experience working directly with Procurement, Vendor Management, or similar customer stakeholders. Experience managing customer relationships and renewal activities across SMB, mid-market, and/or enterprise segments. Demonstrated ability to manage a renewal or sales pipeline and maintain accurate forecasts. Strong commercial judgment and the ability to develop pricing strategies, proposals, and renewal plans. Ability to analyze customer usage and business outcomes and clearly communicate the value delivered. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple renewals, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging both customers and internal teams. Proactive, results-oriented approach with a demonstrated ability to identify problems, remove obstacles, and drive initiatives through to completion. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment and taking increasing ownership as responsibilities expand. Experience with Salesforce and CPQ systems is valuable, along with the ability to quickly learn tools and processes that support the renewal lifecycle. A collaborative mindset and commitment to creating an inclusive, welcoming environment. Comfortable working remotely from anywhere in the United States and traveling for company-wide in-person meetings and other activities as required. Benefits Base salary of $100,000 USD .
