We have an immediate opening for a Material Handler on our 2nd shift. ($19.35/hr.)
Monday - Friday (10:30am - 6:30pm)
Qualifications and requirements
Position Responsibilites
- Palletize cartons and prepare cartons to ship.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Perform product movement or other special work as requested by supervisor.
May also be expected to:
- Pick orders and pack books into designated cartons.
- Assemble/disassemble all needed materials for prepacks and assortments.
- Wrap small orders, apply proper postage and labels, tape packages and take to shipping
- Weigh apply postage to all publicity mailings and route directly to shipping.
- When necessary, change price of books either by machine or manually, operate various equipment, such as tape and price stickering machine.
- Fill completed cartons with bubble wrap in final pack.
Minimum Requirements
- Must show initiative to work with little direct supervision.
- Must be able to read, write and perform simple math.
- Must be able to regularly lift cartons up to 35 pounds, up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to lift, move and handle empty pallets.
