The 2026 Driving Urban Transitions call opens on 1 September. It supports three-year transnational research and innovation projects across the 15-minute city, circular urban economies and positive energy districts transition pathways. Romania has announced a €1 million national envelope. Stage-one proposals close on 17 November 2026, while invited full proposals are due on 15 April 2027.
Eligibility requirements
Consortia generally need at least three eligible partners from three participating countries and meaningful involvement from a municipality or local authority. Cross-cutting proposals may also require private-sector participation. Romanian applicants must meet UEFISCDI’s national annex and organization rules.
