Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Roster and Workflow Coordinator/Radiology Support Officer based in Australia. This hybrid coordination role supports radiologists and helps keep a fast-paced teleradiology service running efficiently. You’ll manage rosters, monitor reporting workflows, and coordinate workload coverage to help maintain timely service delivery. Working closely with radiologists, operational leaders, IT, and other stakeholders, you’ll respond to changing requirements and resolve day-to-day issues. Your organisation and attention to detail will directly contribute to smooth reporting operations and quality patient care. The role offers a varied mix of coordination, administration, workflow management, and stakeholder support. It’s well suited to someone proactive, dependable, and comfortable working in a healthcare environment where priorities can shift quickly.

Coordinate and maintain radiologist rosters to ensure appropriate reporting coverage across teleradiology services. Monitor reporting workflows and coordinate the allocation and balancing of radiologist workloads based on availability, skillset, and location. Proactively manage roster changes, leave requests, availability, and coverage requirements. Work collaboratively with radiologists, Operations, IT, and internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain effective service delivery. Provide timely day-to-day support to radiologists, respond to queries, and help ensure studies are reported within expected turnaround times. Answer incoming calls and provide professional administrative support as required. Actively monitor worklists and identify opportunities to load-balance reporting activity across available radiologists. Investigate and follow up incomplete examinations and critical results notifications to support timely resolution. Maintain accurate records and provide broader administrative and operational assistance to support the wider teleradiology function. Requirements: Previous experience in rostering, workforce coordination, healthcare administration, support coordination, or a similar operational role. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a busy environment. Excellent attention to detail and a consistent focus on accuracy, record keeping, and confidentiality. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence working with medical professionals and diverse internal and external stakeholders. A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to remain calm and effective when operational priorities change. Strong computer literacy and general administrative skills. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement, and contribute positively within a collaborative team. Previous experience in healthcare, medical imaging, radiology, or a related clinical environment is highly regarded. Experience supporting medical credentialing, accreditation, or radiologist administration would be advantageous. Professionalism, reliability, discretion, and a strong commitment to supporting quality healthcare service delivery. Benefits: Hybrid working arrangement based in Western Australia, with the flexibility to work remotely where appropriate. Flexible roster structure, including at least one weekend shift per fortnight. Opportunity to work closely with radiologists and operational teams within a dynamic teleradiology environment. Supportive and collaborative team culture. Job stability within an established and growing healthcare organisation. Ongoing learning and career development opportunities. Employee benefits and wellbeing initiatives. A varied role where coordination, organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills can make a meaningful impact on service delivery and patient outcomes. Inclusive and multicultural workplace that values diverse perspectives and encourages Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians with relevant skills and experience to apply.
