About the Role As a Sales Development Representative focused on the Maritime sector, you will be the driving force behind expanding Kpler’s market footprint across North America. In this proactive outbound role, you will act as a critical connector, identifying high-potential opportunities and articulating Kpler’s value proposition to key industry decision-makers. By combining industry research with target market mapping, you will help supply chain and maritime professionals unlock actionable intelligence through our leading product suite.
Drive new business growth across North America through targeted multi-channel outbound prospecting, including phone calls, personalized email campaigns, and professional network outreach. Research and map key target accounts across maritime-heavy sectors, such as ship owners, chartering firms, transport and logistics providers, and maritime software companies. Qualify inbound financial leads and outbound business opportunities using the BANT framework to ensure high-quality pipeline development. Partner with account executives and commercial teams to craft tailored sales pitches and compelling value propositions for prospective clients. Monitor industry trends and events to engage prospects in meaningful, contextual conversations that support regional marketing and growth strategies. Maintain accurate and comprehensive pipeline data within Salesforce CRM to ensure seamless deal tracking and cross-functional alignment.
What you'll need (Must-haves): 1 to 4 years of hands-on sales development or outbound prospecting experience within a B2B SaaS or technology environment. Strong communication, copywriting, and active listening skills with the confidence to interact with senior industry leaders. A proactive, consultative mindset with a demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding activity and pipeline creation targets. Fluency in English and a strong comfort level working with modern sales and CRM software. Nice-to-haves: Direct experience or subject matter interest in the Maritime, Shipping, Commodities, or Logistics sectors. Hands-on experience with modern sales tech tools, including LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach.io, and Salesforce. Working knowledge of additional languages.
