About the role As Sales Engineer at Artificial, you'll be the technical backbone of our sales process across Germany and the wider DACH/EU specialty (re)insurance market. You'll partner closely with Account Executives from first technical conversation through to signed contract, translating the messy realities of underwriting, policy administration, and claims workflows into clear, compelling demonstrations of what our API-first platform can do. Day to day, you'll:

• Lead technical discovery calls with prospective carriers, MGAs, and brokers to understand their existing systems, data, and workflow pain points
• Design and deliver tailored product demos and proofs of concept that showcase the specific benefits of Artificial’s product suite. to
• Act as the bridge between prospects and Product - feeding real-world requirements back into the roadmap, as well as Forward-Deployed Engineering to support delivery.
• Support a smooth handoff to the delivery team once a deal closes, so technical context isn't lost
• Represent Artificial at industry events, webinars, and broker/carrier roundtables across the region
• Work closely with both, the market facing team in the DACH area and the sales engineering team we are building across the globe About you
• Experience in a pre-sales, sales engineering, or solutions / consulting role, ideally within insurtech, fintech, or B2B SaaS sold to enterprise buyers
• Comfortable working hands-on with a broad range of software development tooling (e.g. GitHub, REPL) — you can speak credibly to a developer and a Head of Underwriting in the same day
• Experienced with AI coding tools, their benefits and how to use the safely
• Exposure to specialty or commercial (re)insurance workflows (underwriting, policy admin, claims) is a strong plus, though not a hard requirement
• Fluent in both German and English, given the focus on the DACH market - and our ambition to scale across continental Europe
• Preferably based in Germany, comfortable working remotely with occasional travel to customers, partners, and conferences
• A natural communicator who enjoys translating technical detail into business value — and vice versa
• Energized by the pace and ambiguity of a London-based Series B startup, with a bias toward getting hands dirty rather than waiting for perfect process We especially want to hear from you if you have
