We are seeking an experienced Sales and Operations Manager to lead sales and delivery of fire fighting and fire protection projects. The role will develop business, manage clients, prepare proposals, and coordinate projects from enquiry to completion, ensuring compliance with designs, standards, budgets, schedules, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop sales strategies for fire fighting systems, fire protection solutions, and related works.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities with consultants, contractors, developers, facility owners, government entities, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and project partners.
  • Review enquiries, tenders, drawings, specifications, equipment schedules, quantities, and scopes.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, tenders, budgets, and estimates.
  • Coordinate with design, estimation, procurement, engineering, and project teams on submissions.
  • Present solutions, technical proposals, value engineering options, and commercial terms.
  • Lead negotiations and support contract award and project mobilisation.
  • Manage awarded projects through planning, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
  • Coordinate fire pumps, sprinklers, hose reels, wet and dry risers, hydrants, tanks, standpipes, suppression systems, and related equipment.
  • Monitor progress, budgets, resources, procurement, and commercial performance.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to prevent clashes and maintain schedules.
  • Review shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, submittals, method statements, test plans, and technical documents.
  • Ensure installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, manufacturer requirements, fire codes, and international standards.
  • Resolve technical, commercial, and site issues with project stakeholders.
  • Attend client, tender, progress, coordination, inspection, and site meetings.
  • Coordinate testing, commissioning, approvals, demonstrations, and handover.
  • Monitor variations, claims, orders, subcontractor performance, payments, and profitability.
  • Manage risks and implement actions to address delays and cost impacts.
  • Support close-out of snags, non-conformances, queries, defects, and commercial matters.
  • Maintain contracts, orders, inspections, certificates, approvals, as-built drawings, manuals, warranties, and handover records.
  • Prepare sales, operations, progress, revenue, forecast, and management reports.
  • Support quality, health and safety, environmental, document control, and company requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate sales, estimation, engineering, and project delivery personnel.
  • Improve sales, efficiency, customer satisfaction, delivery, and profitability.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, higher diploma, or technical qualification in Mechanical, Fire, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in sales, operations, project management, or business development within fire protection, fire fighting, MEP, or building services.
  • Proven experience in fire fighting and fire protection project sales and operations.
  • Knowledge of fire pumps, sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, risers, tanks, suppression systems, and related equipment.
  • Understanding of tendering, estimation, contracts, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
  • Knowledge of fire codes, standards, authority requirements, manufacturer specifications, and health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, hydraulic calculations, specifications, quantities, contracts, and schedules.
  • Ability to generate sales, manage pipelines, negotiate terms, and meet revenue and profit targets.
  • Experience managing clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and estimating, CRM, ERP, or project management systems.
  • Strong commercial, leadership, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Strong accuracy, accountability, customer focus, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
