Build the Future with AspenView Technology Partners
Full job description
Build the Future with AspenView Technology Partners At AspenView, we are passionate about transforming the way organizations approach technology. We specialize in creating high-performing, nearshore IT teams to help North American clients innovate faster and more efficiently. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for exceptional people to join our team and help drive impactful change across industries. Why Join AspenView? At AspenView, we’re more than a nearshore IT partner, we’re a people-first, purpose-driven company that believes great culture drives great outcomes. We’re passionate about connecting talent and technology to deliver measurable value for clients, and meaningful career paths for our people. About the Role We are seeking a Salesforce Business Analyst to own scope on a Salesforce delivery engagement: eliciting what the business actually needs, writing requirements a squad can build from, and holding the boundary when scope moves. Requirements discipline is the single largest predictor of whether an AI or automation project works, so this role carries more weight than a traditional write-up-the-ticket function What You Will Do Requirements and Analysis Run discovery with business users and map current-state process before proposing future state Write user stories with acceptance criteria that are testable, not aspirational Trace every requirement to a business outcome, and challenge the ones that trace to nothing Solution Shaping Work with the architect and developers on feasibility before committing a requirement to a sprint Prototype in a sandbox with Flow and configuration to validate a requirement cheaply Identify where a reporting or data-quality problem is being mistaken for a functionality gap Delivery and Validation Groom and prioritise the backlog with the product owner, and keep it honest about dependencies Design and run UAT, including test data that reflects real edge cases Support release communications, training material and adoption tracking Stakeholder Management Hold a single view of scope across multiple business stakeholders with competing asks Escalate conflicting requirements rather than averaging them into something nobody wants What You Bring 3+ years as a Business Analyst on Salesforce delivery, with full-lifecycle implementation experience Working command of: Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud data models and standard functionality Flow, report and dashboard building, and enough configuration to prototype independently Process mapping notation, user-story writing, and acceptance-criteria design Jira, Azure DevOps or equivalent backlog tooling Salesforce Certified Administrator required; Business Analyst certification preferred Experience running UAT and structured requirements workshops with senior business stakeholders Evidence of having stopped a requirement that should not have been built What We’re Looking For This is a contributor role, not a task-execution role. The team already has people who deliver what they are handed. What it needs is people who question whether the right thing is being built, and say so Holds a point of view and states it, including to senior stakeholders and including after a decision has been made when new evidence warrants reopening it. Asks why a process, data model, or delivery standard exists before extending it, rather than replicating an incumbent pattern because it is the incumbent pattern. Surfaces risk, ambiguity, and weak requirements at the moment they are noticed — not at the sprint review, and not at go-live. Works past the assigned ticket: proposes better approaches, improves what sits around the work, and leaves the team’s practice stronger than it was found. Argues from evidence and changes position on evidence. Comfortable being wrong in public, uncomfortable staying quiet. Success Indicators Stories enter sprints without needing clarification mid-sprint Defects traced to requirements ambiguity fall measurably UAT surfaces genuine issues rather than restating known gaps Business stakeholders can state what is in scope and what is not, without asking Education Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent experience Language Professional English, with the ability to run requirement and design conversations directly with North American stakeholders. Visa Sponsorship AspenView does not sponsor employment visas for this role.
