SFI’s 2027 Complexity Postdoctoral Fellowships, including the Omidyar Fellowships, provide up to three years in residence in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with intellectual freedom, transdisciplinary collaboration, discretionary research and collaboration funds, a competitive salary, generous benefits, paid family leave, and structured leadership training. SFI does not publish one universal salary amount on the current call.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants need a PhD in any scientific discipline granted within six years of the application deadline or expected by September 2027, strong quantitative and computational skills, an exemplary academic record, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and demonstrated interest in transdisciplinary research. Candidates from any country may apply. U.S. citizenship is not required; successful international candidates must be legally able to work in the United States, and SFI states it can sponsor a J-1 visa but not an H-1B visa for this programme.
