This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Scrum Master based in Canada. This role offers the opportunity to help drive the successful delivery of healthcare software solutions within an Agile environment. You will support up to two Agile teams, facilitating collaboration, transparency, delivery, and continuous improvement. The position combines Scrum Master responsibilities with project management, business analysis support, and healthcare-focused process improvement. You will work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, developers, and stakeholders to turn business needs into well-defined, valuable outcomes. Your understanding of healthcare technology and workflows will help identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities early in the delivery lifecycle. The role is well suited to an experienced Agile professional who enjoys coaching teams, solving complex problems, and contributing to meaningful healthcare technology initiatives.

Serve as Scrum Master for up to two Agile teams, ensuring effective application of Scrum principles, practices, ceremonies, and agreed delivery processes. Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile activities that promote collaboration, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. Identify and remove impediments that affect delivery, encouraging teams to solve problems collaboratively while fostering self-organization and ownership. Coach team members on Agile methodologies, practices, and ways of working, adapting approaches to the needs of individual projects while maintaining effective delivery standards. Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, development teams, and stakeholders to prioritize and refine backlogs in alignment with business objectives and customer needs. Monitor sprint progress and team performance metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement strategies to increase efficiency and delivery effectiveness. Develop a strong understanding of software solutions, workflows, and team processes to facilitate productive discussions and identify risks or dependencies early. Support Product Owners and Business Analysts in improving backlog quality through effective user stories, acceptance criteria, and readiness for execution. Help clarify requirements by connecting product vision with technical implementation and ensuring shared understanding across stakeholders and delivery teams. Promote a whole-team approach to quality by participating in additional testing activities and supporting effective quality processes. Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to translate completed features and bug fixes into clear, user-focused release notes that communicate delivered value. Monitor User Acceptance Testing feedback and related issues, escalating concerns when appropriate and supporting timely resolution. Requirements: At least 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master within an Agile environment, preferably supporting healthcare technology or healthcare-related projects. Strong understanding of Agile principles, methodologies, practices, and Scrum frameworks, with the ability to tailor approaches to specific project and team requirements. Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is considered a strong advantage. Proficiency with Agile project management and collaboration tools, particularly Jira and Confluence. Excellent facilitation, communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities, with a structured approach to problem-solving and data-driven decision-making. Familiarity with healthcare industry standards, regulations, interfaces such as HL7, and healthcare technology best practices in Canada or the United States. Experience with software quality assurance, testing activities, and quality processes. Experience as a clinical informaticist or within a healthcare application support environment, contributing to the optimization and support of healthcare information systems, is an asset. Ability to understand complex software solutions and workflows and use that knowledge to facilitate requirements discussions, delivery, and issue resolution. Fluency or working proficiency in French, English, or Spanish is an advantage. Benefits: Competitive salary of $60,000–$75,000 CAD annually .
