The European Commission is recruiting one temporary-agent Security Officer in Brussels to coordinate building and technical security projects for Commission Representations and shared Houses of Europe.
Full job description
The role manages technical and building-security projects, advises on compliance with security policies, coordinates with Commission and European Parliament stakeholders, supports risk management and crisis relocation planning, and oversees security systems such as detection, CCTV, access control and secure equipment.
Requirements & qualifications
Applicants must be citizens of an EU Member State with full civic rights, meet applicable military-service and fitness/character requirements, and hold at least three years of completed university study. The vacancy seeks at least five years of relevant experience, a strong technical engineering background, English and French at C1/C2 for the role, and willingness to travel, be on call and undergo security vetting; a master's degree in electronics or electrotechnical engineering is a strong advantage.
