The intern will support the Media and Communications team by gathering stories, conducting interviews, creating articles and multimedia content, translating and adapting material between Malagasy and English, supporting newsletters and reports, and visiting project sites across Anosy. SEED provides supervision and hands-on support throughout the 10-week placement and states that it will provide an end-of-internship statement describing skills and experience gained. The internship is explicitly unpaid.
Eligibility requirements
Recent graduates in communications, journalism, international development or a related field are sought. Fluent Antanosy-dialect Malagasy and fluent English are required. Candidates should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, understand Anosy cultural norms, be willing to travel to remote project sites, and have basic computer literacy. Relevant communications, journalism, education or community-engagement experience is strongly desired.
