About MISUMI Americas

Full job description

About MISUMI Americas MISUMI Americas, a division of MISUMI Group, is a leading provider of standard, configurable, and custom manufacturing solutions. By integrating a vast catalog of components with a world-class digital manufacturing platform, MISUMI Americas empowers engineers and procurement teams to accelerate innovation across the entire product lifecycle. With operations in the San Francisco Bay Area and Chicago, the company serves as a vital partner for the most innovative companies in the Americas. Impact In This Role As a Senior Account Executive - Robotics, you'll work with some of the most exciting robotics OEMs, warehouse automation integrators, and companies building industrial robots, cobots, AMRs/AGVs, and humanoid platforms — helping them source precision components (actuators, end-effectors, structural parts, enclosures) as they move from prototype through low-volume and bridge production. You'll dig into each customer's business goals — financial KPIs, vision, key initiatives, org structure, in-house manufacturing capabilities, R&D labs — and their internal decision-making structure, so you can build relationships with the right people. You'll also learn their product roadmaps, requirements, and priorities for bringing products to market, along with their existing partnerships (design partners, contract manufacturers, local shop preferences). With that knowledge, you'll configure the right solution to speed up their time to market — identifying both prototyping opportunities and production-class manufacturing programs that let customers launch products faster than they thought possible. Your leadership will be key to coordinating the full MISUMI Americas team supporting you. You'll deliver sales presentations and lead on-site meetings — sales meetings, quarterly business reviews, tech days — to build confidence, deepen relationships, and grow customer lifetime value. What You’ll Be Doing Build relationships with mechanical/electrical engineers and supply chain leads at robotics and automation companies Track industry trends (humanoid robotics, warehouse automation, autonomous mobile robots) to identify new account targets Understand robotics-specific manufacturing needs — tight tolerances, lightweight materials, small-batch runs, rapid design iteration as robots move from R&D to scale Build credibility and trust with C-suite stakeholders Prospect to build and maintain a healthy pipeline Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas Maintain accurate account and opportunity forecasting in Salesforce.com  Generate new business opportunities within your target account list Build meaningful, long-term relationships with key customer contacts Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events Become a true expert in your accounts' product development needs, plans, and challenges Help expand MISUMI Americas' reputation as a leader in digital manufacturing Spend over 50% of your time traveling to meet customers face-to-face Work within a team sales structure Collaborate cross-functionally to win complex deals Desired Traits Experience selling specifically into robotics, automation, or advanced hardware companies — not just manufacturing broadly Familiarity with robotics components/subsystems (actuators, sensors, grippers, drivetrains) a plus Comfortable working with customers who iterate hardware designs quickly and need fast part turnaround Minimum of 8 years consistently meeting and exceeding monthly and quarterly targets Manufacturing and supply chain industry experience BS/BA degree preferred Strong grasp of product development and related business requirements Experience driving consultative, solution-based sales and expanding within strategic industry verticals Track record of quickly building a new pipeline and managing a forecast to consistently exceed quota Expertise with modern sales tools (CRM, sequencing, prospecting, collaboration platforms) Experience with TAM/SAM analysis Excellent verbal and written communication skills Physical Demands  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Standard office and home-office work environment with extensive computer, phone, and video-conference use. Ability to travel by air and drive within assigned territory, including navigating customer plant floors and manufacturing environments during field visits. Perks and Benefits Competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance 401K plan Parental leave programs  Paid volunteer days And much, much more! Salary: $100,000 base per year, $100,000 variable per year (uncapped) Interested in learning more?  We look forward to hearing from you soon.
