Full job description

At Kpler, we are dedicated to helping our clients navigate complex markets with ease. By simplifying global trade information and providing valuable insights, we empower organisations to make informed decisions in commodities, energy, and maritime sectors. Since our founding in 2014, we have focused on delivering top-tier intelligence through user-friendly platforms. Our team of over 850 experts from 69 countries works tirelessly to transform intricate data into actionable strategies, ensuring our clients stay ahead in a dynamic market landscape. Join us to leverage cutting-edge innovation for impactful results and experience unparalleled support on your journey to success. As a Senior Account Manager for our Maritime division in EMEA, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue expansion across existing accounts in Northwest Europe, specifically the Nordic region. You will partner with industry leaders, transforming complex maritime data into high-value commercial solutions that support their strategic decisions. By nurturing long-term relationships and proactively identifying expansion opportunities, you will directly contribute to Kpler’s growth across the regional trade ecosystem.

Drive portfolio revenue growth across the Nordic region by managing key maritime accounts and consistently meeting or exceeding annual sales targets. Identify, cultivate, and close strategic upsell and cross-sell opportunities aligned with evolving client intelligence needs. Serve as a commercial business partner, contributing to budgeting, multi-year planning, demand planning, reporting, and key commercial metrics. Gather direct market, product, and competitor intelligence from client interactions to inform Kpler’s product and commercial strategy. Maintain rigorous CRM data integrity in Salesforce, ensuring accurate account notes and updates to support achievable forecasting and effective collaboration across the sales team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Sales Operations, Business Units, and Business Development to drive organizational success. Represent Kpler externally with professionalism and credibility, building trusted relationships with clients and industry stakeholders. Contribute to corporate projects and initiatives that support Kpler’s broader strategic objectives. Negotiate contracts and commercial terms to secure profitable agreements while ensuring full compliance with company policies.

Extensive commercial experience within B2B account management or sales roles. Direct domain exposure to the maritime, energy, or commodities sectors (with maritime experience strongly preferred). Proven background selling data, analytics, or SaaS platforms within technology or data vendor environments. Demonstrated track record of driving account expansion, generating outbound opportunities, and closing complex deals. Strong negotiation capabilities paired with an active, proactive commercial mindset. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and willingness to travel across Northwest Europe as needed. Nice-to-haves: Hands-on proficiency with modern commercial enablement tools (Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator). Fluency in additional European languages.
