What we do: The Trade Desk is seeking a Senior Accountant to be part of the Close & Reporting team at our headquarters in Ventura, CA. This role will report to the Accounting Manager and focus on the close cycle with an emphasis on corporate expenses and reporting. We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented individual who is eager to learn. What you'll do: Participate in the month-end close with a focus on corporate expenses, expense allocations and delivering financial and management reports Prepare account reconciliations and analyze account fluxes Manage and facilitate global quarterly flux analysis process Assist in vendor contract review process Work cross-functionally with the Finance Systems team to build new reports and the financial reports catalogue Provide support for the annual financial statement audit, quarterly reviews and SOX processes Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements Assist management with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as needed Who you are:  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field 3+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, public company experience a plus Solid understanding of GAAP Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal skills Advanced Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and nested formulas Strong time management skills, including the ability to juggle multiple tasks for varying stakeholders and to work under pressure and in a fast-paced dynamic environment Ability to exercise good judgment and critical thinking Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision   Experience with an ERP System (Oracle Cloud experience a plus) The Trade Desk does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firm recruiters. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and location.   All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as variable compensation-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.  Employees can also purchase The Trade Desk stock at a discount through The Trade Desk’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.  The Trade Desk also offers a competitive benefits package.
