This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Accountant based in India. This role offers the opportunity to join a global accounting organization and contribute to a modern, evolving finance function. You will take ownership of a broad range of full-cycle general ledger activities across a complex, publicly held business environment. The position combines financial analysis, reconciliations, reporting support, accounting policy, and cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with teams across financial planning, reporting, internal audit, tax, treasury, payroll, and business operations. A key part of the role is identifying inconsistencies, improving accounting processes, and supporting automation to deliver timely and accurate financial results. You will also contribute to internal and external reporting requirements, including support for regulatory filings and external audits. This opportunity is well suited to an experienced accounting professional who brings strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a passion for process and technology improvement.
Record and manage general ledger transactions related to software capitalization, payroll, prepaid expenses, debt, insurance, amortization, allocations, intercompany activity, and other corporate accounting areas. Record and manage operating expense transactions across business units while ensuring intercompany transactions are accurate and appropriate. Research general ledger transactions within subledgers and coordinate with other teams to investigate and resolve accounting questions. Take ownership of designated accounts and recurring operational activities, including allocations, benefits, and related accounting processes. Prepare account roll-forwards, income statement account analyses, account reconciliations, and other supporting financial analyses. Assist with financial statement support and activities related to public regulatory filings and reporting requirements. Maintain complete, accurate, and well-organized accounting files and documentation in accordance with established policies and accepted accounting practices. Respond to accounting and financial inquiries by researching and interpreting business-unit and departmental financial data. Support external audits by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing requested documentation and information to auditors. Contribute to special projects, financial analyses, process improvement initiatives, and other accounting activities as required. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and automate manual processes, including the responsible use of AI and analytical technologies. Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive financial and operational information. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline. CPA certification or equivalent professional qualification. 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a publicly held, global, and complex organization. Public accounting experience is an asset. Experience in digital media or a related industry is a plus. Strong understanding of full-cycle general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial analysis, and reporting processes. Experience working with leading ERP systems; Oracle Fusion experience is an advantage. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Exposure to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and controls is a plus. Experience with analytical and reporting technologies such as Power BI and advanced Excel is desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, organization, and accountability. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to investigate financial data and identify inconsistencies. Demonstrated interest in process improvement, automation, and using AI or technology to increase efficiency. Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple finance and business functions while managing priorities in a dynamic environment. Ability to work effectively within the U.S. Eastern Time Zone .
