LAU’s Institute for Migration Studies is recruiting a senior research fellow/postdoctoral scholar for the ERC-funded CONFINED project on confinement, displacement, refugee governance and global orders in crisis.

The fellow will help shape the CONFINED research agenda, co-develop an edited volume or special issue, produce original research, contribute to scholarly and policy outputs, join consortium workshops and exchanges, and support mentorship and public engagement. The appointment can run for up to two years, with full-time or part-time employment possible. LAU states that a visiting stay at The Fletcher School at Tufts University may be possible and hybrid arrangements may be considered. No salary amount is stated on the official call.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants should hold a PhD, or an MA plus at least five years of relevant work experience, in Migration Studies, Political Science, International Relations, Anthropology, Sociology, Law, Geography or a related field. LAU also asks for a strong publication record, relevant thematic expertise, experience in collaborative or comparative research, interest in co-authorship and excellent written and spoken English.
