Full job description

This full-time fixed-term/secondment role runs until December 2027. Work includes leading components of the cyber-security policy programme, developing evidence-based policy options, preparing regulatory advice and Cabinet/Ministerial material, and working with government, infrastructure-sector and international stakeholders. The role midpoint is NZD 127,883 per year inclusive of KiwiSaver.

Requirements & qualifications

The department seeks significant regulatory-policy experience, delivery of complex policy projects, strong analytical and communication skills, at least five years of work experience and a relevant tertiary qualification. The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Special security clearance and current right to work in New Zealand; the official posting explains the citizenship/residency background criteria.
