POSITION PURPOSE:
CIM Group is a private alternatives asset manager with 30-years of experience and approximately $32 billion in assets under management. Our expertise spans private equity and credit investments across real estate and infrastructure, offering a range of funds across the risk-return spectrum as well as customized client solutions. The Institutional Client Group (ICG) builds and maintains relationships with institutional investors and intermediaries globally. ICG includes regional institutional sales teams across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC—primarily serving pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and endowments—as well as the Financial Institutions Group (FIG), which serves major insurance companies and banks, and Global Consultant Relations (GCR), which works with investment consultants, OCIO providers, and other asset managers. ICG is seeking a Senior Associate to join the Asia Pacific Institutional Sales Team (APAC). This role works alongside senior team members, contributes to key fundraising initiatives, and offers direct exposure to some of the world’s largest and most sophisticated institutional investors. As a visible member of a collaborative, high‑performing team, the successful candidate will take ownership of select direct client relationships, targeted prospecting efforts, and contribute to and support the overall sales strategy, building a career at a respected and growing investment firm. This position is based at our office in Los Angeles.
Build and maintain relationships both independently and by partnering with senior team members, while taking ownership of select accounts and conducting direct outreach.
Develop deep knowledge of firm products and narratives to confidently answer client questions, contribute to discussions, and support sales strategy and idea generation.
Support and contribute to fundraising efforts through meeting preparation, proactive follow-up, and coordination of roadshows and client-facing events.
Manage CRM (Salesforce) data with accountability for pipeline accuracy and progress, and assist in executing the overall sales strategy within a defined territory.
Leverage third-party data tools—such as Preqin, eVestment, and WithIntelligence—to provide actionable investor insights and intelligence for sales initiative.
Prepare and deliver presentations and reporting for internal stakeholders, incorporating client feedback, fundraising updates, and industry trends to inform decision-making.
Collaborate directly with portfolio management, investment, and reporting teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of client information and reporting requirements.
3 – 5 years of experience; within asset management or related sales roles preferred.
Bachelor’s degree required; a relevant field of study and internship experience are preferred.
Active FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses required.
Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are not required, but Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment.
