Senior Backend Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Backend Developer based in Brazil. This role offers the opportunity to build and evolve backend solutions within an international technology environment. You’ll work primarily with .NET and Python, developing reliable applications and integrations that support a sophisticated e-commerce technology platform. The position combines hands-on software development with API integration, database optimization, troubleshooting, and performance improvement. You’ll collaborate closely with an agile development team to design efficient and scalable solutions. Strong exposure to Microsoft Azure, API Management, and Service Bus makes this a technically engaging role. The position is fully remote and offers the opportunity to contribute to an international team while continuing to grow professionally.

You will contribute to the development and continuous improvement of high-quality backend applications, working across software development, integrations, databases, and technical troubleshooting within an agile environment. Develop and maintain high-quality backend applications using .NET (C#) and Python . Design and implement efficient, scalable technical solutions in collaboration with the development team. Build and maintain integrations between systems and services using RESTful APIs and microservices. Develop web applications using technologies such as ASP.NET Core and/or Flask . Optimize application performance and database efficiency, including SQL query optimization. Design and maintain effective data models using SQL Server . Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and integration issues. Perform code testing and contribute to reliable, maintainable software delivery. Work with Microsoft Azure services, particularly API Management and Service Bus . Use version control practices with tools such as Git . Document code, technical solutions, and development processes. Collaborate effectively within an agile development team and contribute to continuous improvement. Requirements We’re looking for an experienced backend developer who combines strong technical skills with analytical problem-solving and effective communication. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with an international, English-speaking development team. At least 5 years of professional backend development experience is preferred. Strong proficiency in .NET and C# , with knowledge of Python . Experience developing web applications with ASP.NET Core, Flask , or comparable frameworks. Solid knowledge of SQL Server and database modeling. Experience optimizing SQL queries and database performance. Familiarity with RESTful APIs, system integrations, and microservices . Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Azure platform, including API Management and Service Bus . Experience with version control systems such as Git . Strong troubleshooting and debugging abilities. Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a team. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Fluent English , with the ability to communicate effectively with English-speaking colleagues and stakeholders. Familiarity with agile development environments and practices.
