ABOUT DOUBLE Bookkeepers today are stuck working in excel spreadsheets and homegrown project management solutions to support their clients. Double is on a mission to change that. With our all-in-one tool, bookkeepers can manage their work, communicate with clients, catch hard-to-find errors, and deliver reports to help their small business customers make smarter strategic decisions. Double currently helps thousands of bookkeepers and accountants manage the books for startups and small businesses across the US. We're growing fast, and we're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to accelerate our product and help our customers better serve their small business clients. - Ship software to prod on a daily basis with coding agents
- Influence UX through product engineering
- Collaborate with a high performing EPD team WHO YOU ARE
- Have a track record of shipping systems that solved a hard problem, not just shipped on time — e.g. you built the thing that made your team 5x faster, or the internal tool nobody thought was possible
- Operate with high agency: you identify what needs to be done and drive it forward without waiting to be told to
- Have found yourself wondering "why isn't this moving faster?" in previous roles — and then have done something about it
- 4+ years of demonstrable experience architecting and developing applications with Node
- Demonstrable experience writing type-safe code with TypeScript
- Strong ES6 Experience
- Experience using agents to ship to production
- Experience with TypeORM is a plus
- Experience with TanStack Query is a plus STACK
- Front-end: React + Redux Toolkit/React Query (Typescript)
- Back-end: Node.js + Express (Typescript), TypeORM, Postgres BENEFITS
