About Woven by Toyota
Full job description
About Woven by Toyota Woven by Toyota is enabling Toyota’s once-in-a-century transformation into a mobility company. Inspired by a legacy of innovating for the benefit of others, our mission is to challenge the current state of mobility through human-centric innovation — expanding what “mobility” means and how it serves society.
Our work centers on four pillars: AD/ADAS, our autonomous driving and advanced driver assist technologies; Arene, our software development platform for software-defined vehicles; Woven City, a test course for mobility; and Cloud & AI, the digital infrastructure powering our collaborative foundation. Business-critical functions empower these teams to execute, and together, we’re working toward one bold goal: a world with zero accidents and enhanced well-being for all.
=========================================================================
Our mission is to continuously evolve autonomous driving technology through the Active Learning Loop. To become the leader in the autonomous driving industry, agile software development is essential. To enhance the speed and quality of software development, it is crucial to effectively replicate and validate a wide range of complex traffic scenarios encountered in the real world. We, the Production V&V PF Team, build and operate common development tools and platforms to reproduce and verify the many complex traffic scenarios encountered in everyday driving, thereby contributing to the improvement of software development speed and quality. As part of this effort, we are collaborating with AD/ADAS, simulation, evaluation, and other platform teams in both Japan and the U.S. to develop a cloud-based simulation pipeline capable of executing large-scale scenarios and vehicle logs in a reliable, scalable, and cost-effective manner.
We are looking for a software/infra engineer who enjoys building and operating cloud-native pipelines and simulation platforms. ・You are comfortable making progress with incomplete or evolving requirements, and you proactively clarify assumptions with stakeholders ・You will collaborate closely with multiple teams and help define technical decisions to enable developers to run simulations easily and safely in the cloud ・You should be comfortable working with containers and Kubernetes, designing CI/CD and execution flows, and troubleshooting complex issues across infrastructure and application layers
Design, implement, and operate cloud-based simulation execution pipelines and related platforms Integrate simulation pipelines with new and existing systems and support migration from legacy environments Design and maintain container image build and delivery flows, and orchestrate them in the cloud Build and improve CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment of simulation components and jobs Define and implement observability for pipelines and jobs (logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerts) and drive incident response and post-mortems Collaborate with stakeholders in AD/ADAS, Simulation, and other platform teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs Create and maintain documentation, onboarding materials, and usage guidelines for internal users of cloud pipelines
5+ years of experience building and operating distributed systems/microservices on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS or equivalent) Hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes (or similar container orchestration platforms) Experience managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) Solid programming skills in at least one language, such as Python or Go Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, or similar) Business-level English/Japanese
Experience designing or operating large-scale batch or job platforms (job queues, schedulers, retry strategies, cost optimization) Experience working with large datasets in a cloud environment (simulation outputs, log data, or other high-volume data) Knowledge of AD/ADAS development and/or experience with SILS/HILS/ simulation-based validation pipelines Experience with event-driven architectures and related cloud services
