Senior Controller

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Controller based in United States. This role offers the opportunity to provide senior-level accounting leadership and strategic financial guidance to a diverse portfolio of high-growth businesses. You will oversee critical accounting functions while helping clients strengthen financial operations, processes, and decision-making. The position combines technical accounting expertise with financial analysis, modeling, compliance, and client advisory responsibilities. You will work closely with accounting professionals, Finance Managers, and CFO-level stakeholders to address complex challenges and improve business performance. The role provides exposure to a variety of industries, modern financial technologies, and evolving business models. You will have significant flexibility while contributing to a collaborative, learning-focused, and process-driven remote environment. This position is well suited to an experienced accounting professional who wants to broaden their strategic and FP&A capabilities while supporting growing organizations.

Provide high-quality accounting support and strategic financial guidance to a portfolio of clients. Oversee accounting functions including payroll, accounts receivable and collections, expense processing, taxes, revenue recognition, and financial reporting. Review corporate accounting activities and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations. Manage client communications and identify opportunities to strengthen financial performance and improve the bottom line. Direct internal accounting programs, procedures, and fiscal operations while maintaining effective relationships with external partners and vendors. Deliver ongoing financial analysis and insights to business leaders to support key strategic decisions. Provide leadership in meeting financial, accounting, and legal compliance requirements. Collaborate with Accounting Operations teams to resolve technical accounting challenges and improve processes. Partner with Finance Managers and CFO team members to expand financial planning and analysis capabilities. Continuously streamline processes, improve accounting systems and technology, and contribute to the development of best practices. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 10+ years of professional accounting experience. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and corporate accounting practices. Demonstrated ability to oversee, review, and manage comprehensive accounting functions. Experience with complex financial modeling and financial analysis. Strong understanding of accounting compliance requirements and experience implementing and managing accounting policies. Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Data Tables, formulas, XLOOKUP, SUMIF, IF/THEN, and XIRR; VBA macro-writing is a plus. Highly process-oriented, detail-focused, and committed to accuracy. Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new technologies, tools, and methods. Ability to follow established processes while proactively identifying opportunities to improve them. Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, particularly in client-facing environments. Strong commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity. Experience working remotely is preferred. Dedicated home workspace and reliable, secure, high-speed internet access.
