This role leads the strategic direction and execution of enterprise data capabilities that solve complex business challenges and create measurable value. You will work closely with senior business leaders to understand priorities, translate opportunities into data-driven solutions, and define clear roadmaps. The position acts as a bridge between business stakeholders, architecture, data teams, and technology partners. You will shape data capabilities across a complex enterprise environment while adapting strategy to evolving business, technology, and regulatory needs. The role combines strategic thinking, data expertise, stakeholder leadership, and hands-on execution. You will influence investment priorities, guide distributed delivery teams, and ensure initiatives remain aligned with expected outcomes. Define, implement, and continuously refine the strategic direction and roadmap for enterprise data capabilities aligned with business objectives. Partner with senior business leaders and key stakeholders to identify business needs, assess opportunities, define value, and establish measurable outcomes. Translate complex data relationships, models, and capabilities into clear, business-friendly artifacts and recommendations. Convert business opportunities into data-driven capabilities by partnering with IT, architecture, data, and business leaders. Adapt data strategies in response to changing business priorities, technology developments, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with data consultants and business partners to define, scope, prioritize, and execute large and complex data initiatives. Facilitate workshops and act as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders, architecture teams, and data organizations. Represent business use cases and expected value throughout delivery, ensuring initiatives remain aligned with business objectives, milestones, and timelines. Manage and report current-year milestones, investments, and progress of data initiatives to enterprise performance stakeholders. Ensure data capabilities follow established standards, best practices, governance expectations, and data management principles. Coordinate rapid delivery across distributed teams, resolving dependencies and maintaining momentum across data initiatives. Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to enterprise stakeholders throughout data capability development. Mentor and influence cross-functional teams while driving collaboration without relying on direct reporting authority. Requirements Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience; a master's degree is preferred. 10+ years of experience in data management, technology, or a closely related discipline. 5+ years of experience in a leadership capacity, preferably within insurance, financial services, or another data-intensive industry. Strong experience partnering with senior business leaders, with excellent executive communication and presentation skills. Extensive understanding of data domains, enterprise data ecosystems, data management practices, and modern data capabilities. Experience working with data models, modern data tools, and master data management. Basic SQL knowledge and familiarity with business intelligence and data visualization tools. Strong understanding of advanced analytical models and their application to business decision-making. Demonstrated ability to independently work with business leaders, identify opportunities, and translate needs into actionable data solutions. Proven experience delivering data-driven tools, capabilities, and solutions that address complex business problems. Strong facilitation, communication, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills. Ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate cross-functional teams without direct line-management authority. Preferred experience working with sales and marketing ecosystems. Familiarity with platforms and tools such as Salesforce, LiveRamp, and Google Analytics is advantageous. Benefits Base salary: $133,700–$200,600 per year, with actual compensation varying based on job level, location, incentive eligibility, and exemption status.
