Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Honeywell DCS Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support Honeywell Distributed Control Systems (DCS) across process industry environments. The role requires deep expertise in Honeywell Experion PKS and/or legacy Honeywell systems, with hands-on involvement in system configuration, troubleshooting, upgrades, and commissioning. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, operations teams, and internal stakeholders while mentoring junior engineers and driving best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and implement Honeywell DCS solutions, including:

  • Control strategies and logic development

  • HMI graphics and operator interfaces

  • System architecture using Experion PKS, Control Builder, and related tools

  • Perform system maintenance, upgrades, migrations, patches, and optimizations, including legacy system migrations (e.g., TDC 3000 to Experion PKS)

  • Troubleshoot complex DCS issues across:

  • Hardware (controllers, I/O modules, servers)

  • Software and applications

  • Networks and process control loops

  • Provide rapid technical support to minimize downtime and ensure system availability

  • Develop, review, and modify:

  • Control narratives

  • P&IDs

  • Cause-and-effect matrices

  • Alarm management strategies

  • SIS integration (where applicable)

  • Lead or support FAT/SAT, commissioning, and startup activities at customer sites

  • Manage change processes for system modifications, upgrades, and service projects in compliance with safety and quality standards

  • Interface with customers, operations teams, and cross-functional groups to gather requirements, resolve issues, and deliver high-value solutions

  • Mentor junior engineers, review technical work, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and control system best practices

Requirements

Experience

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with Honeywell DCS systems
  • Strong expertise in Honeywell Experion PKS (preferred) and/or legacy systems such as TDC 3000
  • Proven experience in:
  • DCS configuration and development
  • Commissioning and startup
  • System troubleshooting and long-term support

Industry Background

  • Experience supporting DCS systems in one or more process industries, such as:
  • Oil & Gas
  • Petrochemicals
  • Refining
  • Chemicals
  • Power generation
