Full job description

Revolution Medicines is a global, commercial-state oncology company dedicated to discovering, developing and delivering innovative medicines for patients with RAS-addicted cancers. Leveraging its differentiated RAS(ON) tri-complex inhibitor platform, the company is advancing a broad, integrated portfolio of oral RAS(ON) inhibitors designed to directly target the active, cancer-driving state of RAS. Founded on rigorous scientific inquiry and a willingness to challenge long-held assumptions, Revolution Medicines is committed to changing the trajectory of disease for patients with RAS-addicted cancers worldwide. Our people are united by a shared way of working: follow the science, challenge assumptions, act with urgency and hold ourselves to a high standard of rigor—all in service of patients. The Opportunity: The Sr. Director of Global Planning will shape and lead the global planning strategy for a growing portfolio of late-stage clinical and commercial programs. This is a high-impact opportunity to build scalable, end-to-end supply planning capabilities that ensure reliable delivery of small molecule drug substance, drug product, and packaging and labeling to patients worldwide. The role will lead S&OP and D&OP, drive inventory and supply strategies, enable launch readiness, and partner across functions to strengthen an expanding global supply network. The successful candidate will combine strategic vision with operational rigor to establish the processes, systems, and cross-functional alignment needed to achieve exceptional supply reliability. Responsibilities: Define and execute global supply chain strategies supporting clinical development, commercialization, product launches, and lifecycle management. Lead end-to-end Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Development Operations Planning (D&OP) processes, aligning demand forecasts with manufacturing, procurement, and supply capabilities. Partner with Clinical Supply Chain, Commercial, CMC, External Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory teams to develop accurate demand forecasts and integrated supply plans. Lead demand and supply balancing across the supply network; continuously improve forecasting accuracy, planning processes, and supply responsiveness. Develop long-term capacity plans, supply network strategies, budgets, and business cases to support portfolio growth and commercialization. Define and manage global inventory strategies, including operational and strategic safety-stock policies, to balance patient service, cost, working capital, expiry exposure, and supply risk. Monitor inventory performance and proactively address inventory turns, product expiry, excess and obsolete inventory, and potential supply constraints. Lead supply chain planning for product launches, including scenario planning, inventory build strategies, risk mitigation, and system readiness. Establish and maintain supply chain risk-management frameworks, including contingency planning, redundancy strategies, business continuity plans, and supply-resilience initiatives. Guide the design, selection, implementation, and continuous improvement of supply chain planning tools, systems, and digital capabilities. Ensure effective master data governance and support ERP implementation and integration for new products, supply chains, and planning processes. Drive data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement across global supply chain operations. Required Skills, Experience and Education: B.S. in Supply Chain, Engineering, Chemistry, or related discipline required; MBA preferred. 20+ years of experience in supply chain management within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. Deep expertise in supply chain planning, S&OP/C&OP, and inventory management. Proven experience in launch planning and commercialization support. Solid organizational and time management skills. Effective, open, and transparent communication skills (verbal and written). Capable of working on multiple projects/tasks and able to meet timelines. Self-starter with a high-level of comfort with ambiguity and complexity and the ability to multi-task while consistently delivering quality results. Team-oriented, progressive thinker who enjoys participating in an innovative and creative work environment. Experience with supply chain integration, production planning, and capacity management. Demonstrated experience in risk management and supply chain resilience. Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed, and virtual organization. Strategic thinker with strong execution and decision-making capabilities. Proven ability to build high-performing teams and operate in matrix environments. Preferred Skills: Working knowledge of commercial manufacturing. Deep expertise in small molecule manufacturing and oral solid dose (OSD) products/supply chains. Expertise in supply chain planning systems and ERP implementations. #LI-CT1 #LI-Hybrid The base pay salary range for this full-time position for candidates working onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA is listed below.
