Full job description
The engineer designs, develops and maintains secure software, embeds secure coding through the development lifecycle, supports cyber tools, participates in threat modelling, code review and vulnerability remediation, contributes to automation, testing and DevSecOps, and mentors team members. Travel and future on-call participation may be required.
Requirements & qualifications
Applicants need significant software-engineering/application-development experience, secure-development knowledge, programming or scripting experience such as Python, Java, C# or JavaScript, CI/CD and DevSecOps experience, software-security understanding and experience with cloud, containerized or modern application environments. The role requires eligibility for a higher-level NZ government security clearance under the citizenship/residency rules published by NZDF.
