Senior Financial Analyst
A quick look at the role. As a Senior Financial Analyst within our Central Group Accounting team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our Group financial reporting. You’ll help deliver high-quality financial information, support statutory reporting and audit requirements, and maintain strong financial controls, while working closely with teams across Finance including Statutory Accounts, Treasury, FP&A and local accounting teams.
Your core responsibilities
- Manage the accurate and timely reporting of Off-Ledger Entities (OLEs), ensuring data is complete, reconciled and compliant with Group reporting requirements.
- Prepare and review key balance sheet reconciliations, including AP, AR, GNRI, cash, fixed assets, leases and suspense accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Review intercompany postings and resolve mismatches to ensure balances reconcile accurately across the Group.
- Partner with Treasury and local accounting teams to support accurate and timely Group cash and treasury reporting.
- Support statutory reporting and year-end activities, including journal postings and the preparation of financial information.
- Assist with external audit requirements, providing accurate supporting documentation and responding to queries in a timely manner.
- Support M&A activity, including acquisition accounting, financial reconciliations and the integration of newly acquired entities into Group reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement across financial reporting processes, controls and documentation, while supporting wider Finance projects and ad hoc requirements.
Our essential requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience in financial accounting or Group reporting.
- Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, financial controls, fixed assets and lease accounting.
- Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills, with strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Confident using ERP systems and financial reporting tools, alongside strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities, work effectively to deadlines and deliver in a fast-paced reporting environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to build effective relationships across Finance and the wider business.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) would be an advantage.
