Senior Full Stack Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer based in United States. The Senior Full Stack Developer will contribute to a live, feature-complete production platform, combining ongoing maintenance with new feature delivery and incremental backend improvements. The role is strongly backend-focused, with an approximate 70% backend and 30% frontend split. You will work primarily with Node.js, NestJS, Angular, Docker, and Docker Compose while contributing to cloud-native services deployed through Google Cloud infrastructure. Working within an established codebase and engineering team, you will follow existing development and deployment patterns while independently managing day-to-day delivery. The position offers an opportunity to make meaningful improvements to a mature product while applying modern development practices and AI-assisted engineering tools. Success will require strong technical ownership, API design expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver reliably in a maintenance-focused environment.

Maintain, enhance, and support a live production platform, ensuring existing functionality remains reliable while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement. Deliver new features across the existing product, contributing across both backend and frontend components according to an approximately 70% backend and 30% frontend focus. Design, build, maintain, and incrementally improve backend services and REST APIs using Node.js and NestJS, with an emphasis on clear architecture, reliability, and maintainability. Contribute to frontend development using Angular, working effectively across the full technology stack to support product enhancements and maintenance needs. Develop and maintain containerized services using Docker and Docker Compose, following established engineering and deployment practices. Independently design and document APIs while maintaining strong API discipline and adhering to established codebase patterns. Collaborate effectively with an existing engineering team while independently organizing and managing day-to-day development priorities and delivery. Work within established development, testing, documentation, and deployment processes to deliver thorough, high-quality work on schedule. Apply AI-assisted development tools and technologies where appropriate to improve productivity, engineering workflows, and software delivery. Requirements: At least 8 years of overall software development experience , with strong hands-on experience building and maintaining scalable web applications and production software. At least 4 years of hands-on experience with Node.js and/or NestJS , along with 3 years of Angular experience and 3 years of Docker and Docker Compose experience . At least 4 years of professional experience designing REST APIs , with the ability to independently create, structure, and document robust APIs. At least 1 year of practical experience working with AI tools , such as Claude, MCP, or LLM APIs, and comfort using AI-assisted development environments such as Claude and Cursor. Strong backend engineering capabilities combined with the ability to contribute effectively to frontend development and operate comfortably across the full stack. Experience working within an existing team and established codebase, while maintaining the autonomy and ownership required to manage day-to-day work independently. A thorough and quality-focused approach to maintenance, development, documentation, and delivery, with the ability to meet agreed timelines consistently. Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and self-management skills, with the ability to follow established engineering standards and deployment processes. Nice-to-have experience includes 2+ years with Google Cloud Platform and Cloud Run , 2+ years with Swagger or API documentation , and 1+ year working with microservices architecture .
