Senior Full Stack Engineer: Offsite Discovery

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer: Offsite Discovery based in Netherlands. You will join a cross-functional engineering team building the next generation of personalized e-commerce discovery experiences across multiple marketing channels. Your focus will be on developing a customer-facing dashboard that enables businesses to manage and optimize personalized marketing campaigns. You will work across the frontend and backend, building scalable features with TypeScript, React, Python, and FastAPI. The platform supports high-volume, real-time traffic of up to 10,000 requests per second, making scalability and reliability central to the role. You will collaborate closely with engineers and technical and non-technical stakeholders to turn ideas into useful, production-ready functionality. The role offers opportunities to influence product direction, solve challenging engineering problems, and contribute to a rapidly evolving platform. Develop and deliver customer dashboard features using TypeScript and React, integrating with backend services built with Python and FastAPI. Build, maintain, and improve scalable web application functionality designed to support high-volume, real-time e-commerce experiences. Participate in technical brainstorming and product discussions to identify and shape new features, tools, and capabilities. Work closely with engineers and technical and non-technical stakeholders to define, implement, and continuously improve application functionality. Design and integrate APIs that enable effective communication between frontend applications and backend services. Investigate, debug, and resolve issues across the full application stack. Contribute to architectural and technical decisions involving distributed systems, service-oriented architectures, databases, caching, and cloud infrastructure. Use data and analytics to understand dashboard performance, generate insights, and support improvements to customer-facing solutions. Communicate project progress, technical considerations, and developments clearly to stakeholders both within and outside the team. Contribute to a collaborative engineering culture focused on delivering reliable, maintainable, and impactful software. Requirements: Strong foundation in client-side JavaScript, computer science fundamentals, and networking principles. Solid professional experience with TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks, particularly React. Proven experience building, maintaining, debugging, and improving full-stack web applications. Experience with Python and backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django, or a strong willingness to learn and work with this technology stack. Good understanding of API design principles and practical experience integrating frontend and backend services. Familiarity with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and distributed systems. Experience working with relational databases and caching technologies, including MySQL or PostgreSQL. Strong analytical and SQL skills, with experience using data to investigate dashboard reports and derive actionable insights; familiarity with platforms such as ClickHouse or Athena is valuable. Experience with at least one major public cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience collaborating effectively within cross-functional and distributed teams. Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work during core business hours approximately from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM WET and be located within or near the WET timezone to support continuous customer and stakeholder coverage. Familiarity with serverless architecture and AWS Lambda is a plus. Previous experience working effectively in remote environments is a plus.
