LemFi (Series B) is building the go-to financial app for the Global South.
Full job description
LemFi (Series B) is building the go-to financial app for the Global South. Moving to a new country shouldn’t mean starting from zero. That's why our team of 400+ spanning 20+ countries is building a financial ecosystem that helps immigrants stay connected to home, build stability, and create wealth regardless of where they are from or where they live. What began as fast, affordable remittances is now evolving into a complete platform for multi-currency accounts, payments, credit, and long-term financial growth. With millions of users across the globe, we process over $1B in monthly transactions to 30+ countries, proving that borders shouldn't limit financial opportunity. About the role As the Growth Manager for the Italy-Nigeria corridor, you'll drive LemFi's expansion across Nigerian communities in one of our most critical markets. This is a growth role that requires you to be equally comfortable traveling to key diaspora hubs to build physical community presence and managing high-leverage organic growth. You will direct influencer negotiations, manage external agencies, partners, and key community leaders, and execute grassroots field marketing. You'll spend 3 to 5 days every few weeks in a new Italian city, representing LemFi at Nigerian community events, building partnerships, rigorously tracking campaign performance, and accelerating user acquisition. You're embedded in the communities we serve, acting as both a strategic thinker and a ground-level operator. You will work across paid channels, organic strategy, local agency partners, and product teams to drive massive user acquisition in this market, while serving as the internal voice of the user. What you'll build and own
- Travel across Italy 3 to 5 days every few weeks, establishing on-the-ground presence in new cities. Attend community events, build and expand LemFi's community networks, network with local leaders and organizations, and grow relationships that build deep, ground-level trust.
- Develop and execute comprehensive user acquisition strategies tailored to Nigerian ex-pat communities in Italy. Own growth targets for assigned markets and optimize campaigns using data and insights.
- Source, negotiate directly with, and manage Italy/Nigeria-focused influencers, creators, key community leaders and external agencies to drive scalable organic growth.
- Lead community-driven initiatives to build trust, awareness and advocacy for LemFi. Organize and participate in local events, meetups and forums. Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders and grassroots partners implementing tracking mechanisms to measure the exact customer acquisition cost of your offline activities.
- Identify, negotiate and manage partnerships with relevant organizations and businesses to accelerate user growth. Ensure partnerships deliver mutual value and measurable outcomes tied directly to user acquisition.
- Conduct ongoing market research to understand user needs, behaviours and preferences. Provide actionable insights to Product and Marketing teams. Serve as the internal voice of the user, representing community perspectives in decision-making. Your experience
- At least 5 years of experience in fast-paced environments with a background in growth, sales, marketing or similar.
- Deep understanding of the Nigerian and diaspora community in Italy. You're culturally fluent and comfortable immersing yourself in new cultural environments.
- Proven ability to work against targets and deliver measurable results. You're motivated by ambitious goals and comfortable being measured against clear KPIs.
- Strong data-driven mindset. You interpret data, track performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders. You're a persuasive communicator who can influence partners and leaders.
- Entrepreneurial and tenacious. You take ownership, push through obstacles and find ways to win. Biased to action, you think critically and move quickly.
- Self-motivated and effective working independently and in remote environments. You're willing to travel extensively and work occasional weekends to support market growth. Nice to have
- Prior experience launching or scaling ventures in new markets.
- Background in fintech, payments or diaspora-focused products.
- Established network within diaspora communities. WHY JOIN LEMFI? Love shouldn’t be expensive, yet those working hardest for their families often face predatory fees and banking exclusion. We're changing this. At LemFi, you won’t be just a cog in a machine. Whether designing products, scaling operations, or telling our story, you’ll tackle complex challenges with real, immediate impact. Your work goes beyond metrics - it puts money back in families’ pockets and offers access to the previously excluded.
