Senior Integrations Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Integrations Engineer based in United States. This is a senior individual-contributor role on a lean engineering team building backend systems for cold-chain risk management in pharma and perishables logistics. You’ll own data-intensive distributed systems that ingest, normalize, and contextualize IoT monitoring data at scale. Your work will help quantify shipment risk in real time and power predictive workflows and automated operational decisions. The role combines backend engineering, external integrations, event-driven architecture, cloud infrastructure, and production operations. You’ll have end-to-end ownership of partner data flows and the opportunity to work on systems with direct real-world impact. Design and build scalable backend services powering a logistics orchestration and decision-intelligence platform. Own end-to-end partner data flows, from multi-vendor IoT data ingestion and normalization through data warehousing, observability, and production support. Build and maintain event-driven architectures using messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. Develop predictive systems supporting on-time, in-full (OTIF) performance and automate workflows for handling logistics exceptions. Design and maintain integrations with external partner APIs, webhooks, queues, carrier feeds, sensor streams, and vendor systems. Process and contextualize IoT monitoring data to support real-time shipment risk analysis and predictive workflows. Deploy and operate containerized backend services on cloud infrastructure, maintaining reliability appropriate for mission-critical logistics applications. Implement strong testing, CI/CD, monitoring, observability, and operational practices across production services. Collaborate closely with engineering leadership and cross-functional teammates to deliver solutions rapidly in a growth-stage environment. Take ownership of technical problems across the integration lifecycle, from system design and development through deployment, troubleshooting, and on-call support. Requirements 5+ years of backend engineering experience building scalable distributed systems. Hands-on proficiency with Python and TypeScript/Node.js; strong Java experience is a plus. Demonstrated experience owning external, partner-facing operational data integrations end to end, rather than focusing exclusively on internal systems, DevOps, ETL, or general full-stack development. Experience with IoT data ingestion, processing, normalization, and contextualization. Strong SQL skills and solid expertise in relational data modeling; familiarity with NoSQL databases is beneficial. Experience designing and developing APIs using REST and/or gRPC. Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration. Experience deploying and operating cloud services on AWS, GCP, or Azure. Strong software engineering practices, including automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, observability, and production support. Ability to work independently and take end-to-end ownership as a senior individual contributor on a lean engineering team. Logistics, cold-chain, supply-chain, or IoT domain knowledge is a strong advantage. Experience working in a growth-stage or Series A company is a plus. Familiarity with data security, privacy, or regulatory requirements relevant to pharmaceutical or cold-chain environments is beneficial. Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical ownership skills. Ability to work US-aligned hours while working remotely from the United States.
