Senior Manager, Distribution Operations & Logistics

The Senior Operations Manager for Korea plays a pivotable role in enabling that movement by deploying the Korean operational business strategies and initiatives roadmap into operational readiness across the Distribution & Logistics network. This role sits within Asia Operations and reports to the Senior Director Operations Asia. The Senior Manager is a hands-on manager who directly supports the Senior Director with activities in region. The role partners closely in country with the Korean retail operations team and supports directly alo’s relationship with our 3 rd party distribution center to hit revenue targets. Role also works daily with our logistics partners, both internally and externally, to ensure the smooth flow and tracking of product shipments. The role partners as well with operational planning, global operation control tower, trade compliance and inventory control assuring a voice within region for project support and prompt issue resolution. The role is responsible for in-country performance management to assure operational consistency and outstanding services for our guests.  Outside of operations and retail the role partners with planning & allocations to proactively identify risks, evaluate trade-offs, and help position the Korean operations for service excellence, cost efficiency, and sustained growth. Responsibilities  Manage daily distribution and logistics operations by partnering with external 3 rd party distribution center and 3 rd party logistic provider and internal partners in global distribution control tower, destination/inbound logistics, outbound logistics, trade compliance and inventory control with focus on ensuring that service targets are hit, cost is managed and overall performance expectations are consistently achieved Work closely with Retail Operations team to support all key in country initiatives – i.e. New Store Openings (NSO’s), support eCommerce launches, partner on project initiatives and special projects As needed, partner with FP&A, Operational planning and Sr Director Asia Operations to assure revenue targets are hit Participate in planning and allocations discussions to align priorities, timing, and execution Lead operations to meet and exceed targeted performance, growth, and service-level expectations. Partner with Sr Director Operations Asia to accelerate operational performance opportunities Ensure efficient and timely product flow from receipt into distribution centers through to retail store or ecommerce guest location Maintain performance standards and metrics, continually seeking opportunities to enhance service, capacity, and cost efficiency. Partner on setting/monitoring and adjusting KPI’s Support Sr Director Operations Asia to assure P&L performance is measured & budget for freight, labor and operational target expenses are met Partner with operational planning to ensure alignment between demand, storage capacity labor, and throughput capabilities Identify operational risks and bottlenecks in advance and propose mitigation strategies Support operations as business volume and complexity grow Key Cross-Functional Korean Operations Partners Global Operations including control tower team & solutions, Retail Operations, Planning and Allocation, IT, FP&A, Luxury team, Beauty & Wellness 3 rd party distribution and logistics providers in region Stakeholders that need support with priorities, timing, and execution readiness to hit revenue target Parties leading capacity impact analyses. Both internal and external Support leadership with driving in country operational roadmap to support expansion, peak season scalability, and new product initiatives Peak, Event and Program Initiative Readiness Lead the in-country charge to support operational planning for peak seasons, logistical set up and distribution efforts for new store openings (NSO’s) and launch of new product offerings Assess readiness and partner to highlight any labor or fulfillment risk for all key company goals Work with Operational planning team on capacity plans and contingency scenarios Heavily support future initiatives such as eCommerce and further automation launches Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement Monitor key operational KPI’s; drive corrective actions when necessary Manage daily & weekly operational performance. Align with Operational planning team to develop dashboards and report out Support continuous improvement programs that deliver measurable cost and service gains Establish working relationships that ensure a collaborative and accountable environment Assure that a meaningful reporting environment is maintained Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness Contribute as a thought partner to automation and tool enhancements Support planning initiatives that scale growth Culture & Leadership Creating a motivational and supportive environment Foster a culture of continuous improvement, trust, and empowerment that reflects alo’s values of mindfulness, wellness, and excellence Develop and sustain strong collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders and external partners Qualifications 5 + years of demonstrated experience managing 3 rd party operations, with focus on distribution and logistics that support retail, eCommerce and/or wholesale environments Strong knowledge of Korea distribution, trade and logistics with focus on retail and eCommerce preferred    Proven ability to support multiple cross-functional initiatives with global dependencies Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to support complexity and drive alignment Strong Excel and analytical skills; ability to translate data into clear business insights Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Operations or related field preferred Passion for ALO’s mission and values — wellness, mindfulness, and inspiring movement Must be proficient in Korean and English Wiliness to live in Seoul, Korea Ability to travel to attend offsite meetings For CA residents, Job Applicant Privacy Policy  HERE .
