About the Role: Wing is looking for a Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting to join our Accounting team. This role is hybrid based in Palo Alto, CA. We are seeking a highly-motivated, detail oriented, and collaborative individual to join our growing accounting team. A successful candidate is one who thrives in a highly dynamic environment and looks to partner across the organization to build systematic accounting solutions to support our growth. The  candidate will be responsible for establishing and owning relationships across the organization to build out critical general ledger accounting policies to support our growth, specifically related to OpEx cost centers including: prepaid expense recognition and general month-end close accruals. This position will be responsible for leading month-end close activities and aligning our business operations to accounting standards. This position requires a strong understanding of US GAAP, comfort with ambiguity and change, and a growth mindset with passion for continuous improvement. What You’ll Do:  Own month end close responsibilities for critical accounting processes, including marketing expenses, professional services, and prepaids accountingBuild out accruals processes leveraging data analysis and stakeholder engagementSupport reporting and other deliverable coordination with AlphabetExperience with System implementation projects to improve core ERP functionalityIdentify system enhancements to accelerate close cycle, while maintaining accuracy Maintain ownership of Chart of Account structure, including new account and cost center creation Review significant vendor contracts to ensure alignment with policies and optimize accounting processes Support prepaid expense evaluation and classification, along with general OpEx accruals to ensure completeness and accuracy of financials Support international statutory audits compliance with Wing and Alphabet policies Strengthen and/or implement  internal controls to maintain financial accuracy and integrity Partner with finance and other stakeholders to provide timely and transparent guidance on accounting impacts for key transactions What You’ll Need:  12+ years of relevant accounting experience, within technology, logistics, or manufacturing industriesBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent practical experienceCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) License is preferredStrong understanding and application of accounting principles and financial reporting (GAAP required or IFRS is a nice to have) SAP S/4 or equivalent ERP experience Experience evaluating contracts and operationalizing contracts under ASC 340, 360, 718, and 842 A builder mindset that enjoys turning ambiguous workflows into streamlined, automated, and reliable processes Experience establishing and implementing processes that scale with businessComfort dealing with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail and accuracy skills Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with a passion for synthesizing complex data into a clear storyline Ability to independently drive multiple projects to completion under tight deadlines within a collaborative team environment Strong interpersonal skills with a desire to actively contribute to our work culture The US base salary range for this full-time position is the salary range below + bonus + equity + benefits. Wing’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
