Senior Operations Engineer - Cyro-Mechanical

Full Job Description

Lead end‑to‑end program planning and execution for Cryo-mechanical engineering initiatives, including Cryostat installations, maintenance and upgrades, and associated mechanical designs. Develop and maintain integrated program schedules, critical paths, and risk mitigation plans across internal teams and external suppliers. Develop automated processes which minimize overhead while still providing robust scheduling, record keeping and inventory management. Introduce tools, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms that improve predictability, traceability, and engineering throughput. Propose, design, build and deliver solutions that transform large raw data sets into actionable insights and support on-going operational usage. Develop tactical schedules that coordinate simultaneous operations, anticipate coverage gaps, and enable leadership to address them proactively. Other Embody our Culture and Values Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience OR equivalent experience Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience OR equivalent experience 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos). Ability to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) tools to drive innovation and efficiency (e.g., measurement, performance modeling and analysis, research gathering, day-to-day task automation). Ability to work in an “AI-first” environment using modern AI tools to accelerate discovery through hardware development. Experience building project schedules, managing budgets, planning resources, and partnering across matrixed teams. Ability to establish clear communication channels, technical deliverables, and accountability structures with vendors and facilitating collaboration with internal engineering teams. Experience collaborating with engineering leads to define and implement best‑in‑class workflows for design reviews, DFM/DFT validation, and manufacturing readiness. Experience implementing or creating systems and reports to track equipment configurations across sites, identify available resources, and forecast future needs.
