The Package R&D Technician will be someone with a solid baseline of experience in fabrication and assembly. They will have had experience in an R&D environment where work instruction may not be fully defined and collaboration with engineers is required to achieve the goals of a prototype build. They will be flexible and team oriented, helping their colleagues where needed to build and learn our product as new designs come out.

Build components and assemblies that make up our generator enclosures, install components and modify parts as needed for new prototype builds and to support production builds. Collaborate with engineers to fix, repair, and redesign components and assemblies focusing on manufacturability and reliability in order to meet the testing and qualification schedule of new designs. Work with a quick-learning build and test team to support ongoing testing and retrofits Identify opportunities to improve safety and productivity in the build process

Minimum of 7 years of experience with mechanical assembly and/or repair, including experience with metal fabrication; cutting, grinding, and drilling required. Welding experience is preferred. Demonstrated ability and certification to use a forklift Ability to learn quickly, be self-motivated and safety oriented Candidates must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs., and wear required PPE
