Senior Platform Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer based in United States. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will help build and operate reliable, scalable cloud platforms supporting critical enterprise applications. You’ll work extensively with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern CI/CD practices to improve infrastructure and software delivery. The role combines platform engineering, automation, systems reliability, and developer enablement in a highly collaborative environment. You’ll help establish infrastructure-as-code standards and streamline deployment processes across engineering teams. Your work will directly contribute to service availability, operational efficiency, and engineering productivity. You’ll also have opportunities to advance cloud automation and explore emerging AI/LLM technologies within the platform ecosystem.

Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable and reliable systems and enterprise applications on Google Cloud Platform. Establish and maintain infrastructure-as-code standards using Terraform, while leveraging automation tools such as Ansible and SaltStack. Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines that accelerate software delivery and reduce manual processes. Manage critical enterprise applications and develop automated deployment, upgrade, and operational workflows. Lead incident management activities, perform root cause analyses, and participate in on-call rotations to maintain high service availability. Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize system performance, resource utilization, and cloud infrastructure costs through rightsizing. Build and maintain internal developer platforms, tools, and automation that improve engineering productivity. Strengthen Linux, container, and cloud environments through security guardrails, monitoring, logging, and reliable operational practices. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of direct experience working with public cloud environments, including Kubernetes, VPC, Cloud Run, and enterprise infrastructure management. Strong hands-on expertise with GCP and infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, and SaltStack. 5+ years of experience leading software development lifecycle initiatives, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and supporting enterprise applications. 5+ years of experience with Linux system internals, containerization, autonomous task workflows, and establishing security guardrails. At least 2 years of programming experience with languages such as Python or Java. Experience with monitoring and logging ecosystems such as GCP Monitoring, Prometheus, Datadog, Dynatrace, or ELK. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose complex system-level and distributed application issues. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Experience architecting and deploying AI/LLM solutions using technologies such as Gemini, Vertex AI, or ADK is preferred. Experience managing multi-cloud environments and optimizing application performance across standalone and distributed systems is also preferred. Benefits: US base salary range of $140,000–$200,800 for the full-time position. Additional bonus opportunities and comprehensive benefits.
