This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Designer based in Germany. As a Senior Product Designer, you will shape digital products within a fast-moving FinTech environment, designing experiences for complex financial workflows. You will take ownership of projects from understanding the underlying problem and user needs through design, implementation, and quality review. The role combines strong UX and UI expertise with hands-on work across responsive interfaces, complex flows, dashboards, forms, and data-heavy experiences. A major focus will be building and maintaining scalable design systems, including components, tokens, patterns, and documentation. You will collaborate closely with Product, Business, Engineering, and QA teams to balance user needs with commercial and technical constraints. You will also use AI tools thoughtfully to streamline routine design workflows and improve efficiency. This is a fully remote opportunity offering the chance to influence products used within the evolving financial technology ecosystem.

Design new features, pages, interfaces, and complex multi-step user flows for desktop and mobile products. Improve existing experiences using user needs, product data, business requirements, and customer feedback. Define interface structures, interaction logic, component states, error handling, and edge cases. Create responsive designs that provide consistent experiences across different devices and screen sizes. Build interactive prototypes to validate concepts, communicate interactions, and present proposed solutions. Clearly present and explain design decisions to Product teams and other stakeholders. Develop, maintain, and evolve large-scale design systems, including components, variants, patterns, design tokens, and documentation. Assess how proposed changes may affect existing components, dependencies, and user journeys. Prepare detailed designs and specifications for implementation by development teams. Support implementation through design reviews and ensure that the delivered UI meets established design and quality standards. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA Engineers throughout the product lifecycle. Use AI tools to automate routine activities such as processing materials, preparing documentation and specifications, and organizing information while maintaining human-led product analysis and design judgment. Take ownership of design tasks from initial problem definition through implementation review and final quality assessment. Requirements Proven commercial experience as a Senior Product Designer working on real, customer-facing products. Demonstrated experience with products that have been launched and actively used by customers; educational concepts and personal projects are not considered substitutes for commercial product experience. Strong portfolio showcasing implemented projects and clearly explaining the problem, your role, constraints, design decisions, and outcomes. Experience designing complex multi-step workflows, forms, dashboards, tables, and data-intensive interfaces. Strong ability to identify user needs and translate them into clear interface and product requirements. Advanced UX and UI design capabilities with a strong understanding of interaction design and visual consistency. Advanced proficiency in Figma, including Auto Layout, Components, Variants, and Variables. Hands-on experience developing and maintaining large-scale design systems and component libraries. Practical experience creating and maintaining design tokens and managing component states, variants, structures, and dependencies. Experience creating interactive prototypes and effectively presenting design solutions to stakeholders. Strong understanding of responsive design principles and their application in commercial products. Ability to work effectively within technical constraints and collaborate closely with developers to deliver practical solutions. Ability to independently manage design work from problem definition through implementation and design review. Exceptional attention to detail, consistency, usability, and overall design quality. Ability to use AI tools to automate and streamline workflows without compromising product thinking, user analysis, or interface quality. Commercial experience with FinTech products, banking services, or payment systems is a plus. Experience developing a design system used across multiple products or platforms is advantageous. Experience conducting user research and prototype testing is beneficial. Knowledge of accessibility requirements and experience applying accessibility principles in commercial products is a plus.
