Senior Product Manager, PolicyCenter

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Manager, PolicyCenter based in Canada . This role owns a defined area of a core policy administration platform serving large property and casualty insurers. You will lead the full product lifecycle, from customer discovery and prioritization through specification, launch, and adoption. The position combines deep customer engagement with hands-on collaboration across product, engineering, design, and cloud teams. You will help shape capabilities that influence quoting, underwriting, rating, policy management, and broader insurance workflows. The role also provides opportunities to explore practical AI and agentic capabilities within a complex enterprise product environment. Success will be measured through meaningful customer and business outcomes, supported by strong product judgment and technical fluency.

Own a defined area of the policy administration product end-to-end, from customer discovery and problem definition through prioritization, delivery, launch, and adoption. Run the discovery-to-delivery cycle by engaging with insurance carriers, documenting customer problems, developing product specifications, and partnering with engineering and design. Contribute evidence and a clear product perspective to roadmap and prioritization decisions, including evaluating where AI and LLM capabilities can improve underwriting and policy workflows. Build trusted relationships with underwriting, product, IT, and other carrier stakeholders and translate customer insights into product investments. Work closely with engineers and architects on scope, sequencing, technical trade-offs, APIs, data models, rating logic, integrations, and cloud delivery decisions. Coordinate with product teams across billing, claims, cloud infrastructure, rating, and underwriting integrations to ensure a consistent broader carrier experience. Partner with field and support teams to understand production issues, assess customer impact, and determine the appropriate path forward through fixes, configuration guidance, or new product capabilities. Define and monitor meaningful product success metrics such as quote-to-bind time, straight-through processing, underwriting cycle time, renewal retention, and customer satisfaction. Maintain clear product specifications, communicate trade-offs, document decisions, and use measurable outcomes to guide future product investments. Requirements 5–8 years of product management experience, including experience with enterprise B2B SaaS products serving large customers. Direct experience in property and casualty insurance, ideally across policy administration, underwriting, rating, forms, endorsements, renewals, or quoting. Demonstrated ability to deliver meaningful product capabilities end-to-end, from problem discovery through launch and adoption. Strong technical fluency, with the ability to understand complex policy administration applications, read API contracts, reason about data models and rating logic, and engage substantively with senior engineers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate between customer needs, product specifications, and technical implementation details. Collaborative approach and comfort working alongside senior product leaders and cross-functional teams while bringing a clear point of view when needed. Familiarity with major insurance platforms such as Guidewire InsuranceSuite, Duck Creek, Majesco, or comparable solutions is strongly preferred. Exposure to AI/ML or agentic capabilities in production products is an advantage. Experience with cloud or SaaS migration involving a large installed base of on-premises customers is a plus. Background working with underwriting, actuarial, or product management stakeholders at an insurance carrier is desirable. Previous experience as an engineer, solutions architect, business analyst, or implementation consultant on core insurance systems is also valuable. Base salary range of $148,000–$254,000 , with compensation dependent on experience, skills, education, training, location, and other relevant factors. Health, dental, and vision insurance.
