Client Overview: The Client provides comprehensive operational support and a range of expert services to the world’s leading insurers, brokers, fleet managers and automotive manufacturers. 3,300 employees across ten countries deliver exceptional standards on a large scale for over 1,200 clients. We help the global insurance market to handle millions of claims each year in the most cost-effective and efficient ways possible. The Client is embarking on an exciting and challenging transformation program and our software solutions are a driving force behind this strategy using cloud computing and leading-edge design patterns. Requirements: 5+ years as a Product Owner in a software development environment Strong requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation across business, functional, and non-functional needs Hands-on experience writing clear user stories with acceptance criteria and managing/prioritizing a product backlog Experience working in Agile / Scrum / Kanban teams Proficiency with Jira (required) and Confluence (or comparable Agile and documentation tooling) Experience with Miro or similar collaboration/whiteboarding tools Familiarity with SaaS business models and cloud-based architectures, with a working understanding of AWS/Azure Understanding of REST APIs, integrations, and data flows Process mapping and modeling skills (BPMN, flow diagrams) Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and workshop leadership Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a distributed, multi-timezone team (EU, UK) Excellent English communication skills, comfortable with both technical and non-technical audiences Nice to Have: Experience with AI-assisted development and analysis tools (Copilot, Claude, Cursor) Background in enterprise / B2B SaaS, multi-tenant platforms, or large-scale portals Experience supporting a platform consolidation, migration, or feature-parity initiative Certification such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile/Scrum (CSM, SAFe) / Product Owner (CSPO) Experience with SQL or data querying tools Exposure to compliance or regulatory-driven environments (data privacy, security standards) Responsibilities: Own, refine, and prioritize the product backlog for the portal feature-parity workstream Translate product vision and business objectives into clear, actionable user stories with acceptance criteria in Jira Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, and discovery sessions Lead and support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release planning Ensure requirements traceability from business objective through to delivery Collaborate with engineering, UX, DevOps, and QA to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities Document workflows, process diagrams, system interactions, and data flows Define KPIs and success metrics for new features and releases Support UAT planning and validation to confirm delivered functionality meets business intent Identify risks, dependencies, and impacts of proposed changes Engage with Client product and engineering counterparts in EU/UK on scope, integration points, and delivery milestones Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, planning, retros, demos) We offer*: Flexible working format - remote, office-based or flexible A competitive salary and good compensation package Personalized career growth Professional development tools (mentorship program, tech talks and trainings, centers of excellence, and more) Active tech communities with regular knowledge sharing Education reimbursement Memorable anniversary presents Corporate events and team buildings Other location-specific benefits *not applicable for freelancers
