Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Program Manager, Employee Experience based in Canada. This role leads a strategic employee experience work stream focused on improving how people use technology, tools, and workflows in a distributed organization. You’ll explore opportunities across AI enablement, knowledge management, automation, and technology-supported ways of working. The position combines program management with organizational research, experimentation, innovation, and cross-functional leadership. You’ll design and facilitate pilots, analyze qualitative and quantitative findings, and translate evidence into practical recommendations. Working across People, Technology, Communications, Operations, and other functions, you’ll help turn new insights into scalable organizational change. Success means creating measurable improvements in employee effectiveness, confidence with technology, and adoption of AI-enabled ways of working. The role offers significant autonomy for someone who is curious, comfortable with ambiguity, and motivated by the future of work.

Own the strategy, roadmap, priorities, and outcomes of a technology-focused employee experience work stream covering tools, workflows, automation, AI enablement, and knowledge management. Design and lead organizational research, pilots, and experiments that evaluate new approaches to distributed and technology-enabled ways of working. Translate qualitative and quantitative research findings into actionable recommendations, behavioral frameworks, and operating models that can support broader adoption. Manage a portfolio of interconnected programs and initiatives from initial scoping through research, validation, and enablement planning. Establish clear objectives, success measures, milestones, risks, dependencies, and reporting structures across the work stream. Facilitate cross-functional steering committees and initiatives involving stakeholders across People, Technology, Communications, Operations, and other business functions. Partner with People Analytics and measurement specialists to establish appropriate research methodologies and evaluate outcomes. Identify opportunities proactively and turn emerging insights, technologies, and research into practical improvements to employee effectiveness and confidence. Requirements: 8+ years of experience in program management, organizational effectiveness, workplace strategy, employee experience, innovation, research, or a related discipline. Strong expertise in technology enablement, including AI adoption, knowledge management, digital workflows, automation, and technology-enabled approaches that improve employee effectiveness. Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex, cross-functional programs from ambiguous initial concepts through measurable outcomes. Experience designing and managing research initiatives, pilots, experiments, or other evidence-based innovation programs. Strong understanding of distributed, hybrid, Virtual First, or other modern ways of working. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong facilitation and executive communication capabilities. Comfortable operating in ambiguity and proactively identifying opportunities without waiting for fully defined assignments. Experience working in a distributed or Virtual First organization is preferred. Background in organizational behavior, change management, behavioral science, workplace research, or human-centered design is a plus. Strong curiosity about the future of work, emerging technologies, and their potential impact on employee experience. Demonstrated awareness, judgment, adaptability, and ability to build connection and trust across diverse stakeholders. Benefits: Opportunity to shape technology-enabled employee experiences and modern ways of working at organizational scale. Strategic ownership of a portfolio spanning AI enablement, knowledge management, automation, research, and employee effectiveness. Cross-functional exposure across People, Technology, Communications, Operations, Analytics, and other business areas. Opportunity to design and test new approaches through research, experimentation, and evidence-based innovation. High level of autonomy and ownership in a role focused on measurable organizational impact. Exposure to emerging technologies and evolving approaches to distributed work. Collaborative environment focused on improving employee effectiveness, confidence, and adoption of new tools and ways of working. Source compensation is provided for U.S. zones only; the role is listed here for Canada, so no Canada-specific salary range is specified in the source.
