Senior Project Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Project Manager based in South Africa. This role offers the opportunity to lead the delivery of large-scale event, experience, and entertainment-related venues and activations. You will oversee projects spanning audiovisual, digital, construction, and scenic installations, helping bring complex concepts through to successful completion. The position combines project management, owner's representation, and project controls responsibilities across major international developments. You will work closely with clients, architects, technical teams, senior leaders, and project partners to coordinate delivery and manage risk. Strong judgment, critical thinking, and an understanding of technology, operations, and business interdependencies will be essential. The role also provides an opportunity to contribute to the continued development of a growing global project delivery practice.

Take full project life cycle ownership, developing and managing comprehensive plans from project initiation through closeout. Coordinate project interdependencies across technology, operations, business requirements, design, construction, and delivery activities. Prepare and maintain progress reports, presentations, and project updates for key stakeholders and partners. Lead planning and scheduling activities, actively gathering status updates and adapting plans based on project context. Coordinate the integration of audiovisual and entertainment technology requirements into broader building and design strategies. Facilitate and participate in Owner-Architect-Client meetings, site walks, and other project coordination activities. Conduct hands-on risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and identify opportunities to improve project outcomes. Promote lessons learned during and after project closeout to support continuous improvement and organizational learning. Engage with senior leadership to help maintain and exceed appropriate working practices and industry standards across the project portfolio. Support the continued growth of the project delivery portfolio across the Middle East, including required regional travel. Requirements: 10+ years of senior-level professional project management experience, with a focus on AV and entertainment technology design and integration, architecture, event spaces, or construction-related projects. Strong knowledge of core project management disciplines, including integration, scope, planning and scheduling, cost, communication, risk, and stakeholder management. Fundamental understanding of audiovisual system functionality, installation processes, sequencing, and techniques. Project management certification such as PRINCE2, PMQ, or PMP is advantageous. AVIXA CTS certification is advantageous. Strong understanding of local working practices and cultural considerations in the Middle East, particularly Saudi Arabia. Experience delivering mega projects and working within complex construction environments is preferred. High energy, enthusiasm, and a strong commitment to exceeding client expectations. Ability to learn quickly, make an immediate impact, and provide value-added service to clients. Confidence in presenting professional expertise, skills, knowledge, and qualifications to clients and stakeholders. Collaborative mindset with an interest in developing long-term relationships with clients, vendors, project delivery teams, and colleagues. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of self-motivation and initiative. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects or project phases simultaneously while remaining calm and effective under pressure.
